  Vocal Remover DirectX
  Vocal Remover Winamp
190K 175K
Freeware
So you want to impress your friends with your singing skill, but they only like to listen to those boring old top-40 songs; and that brand new Karaoke machine you just bought is broken. What can you do? Is everything lost? NO! Don't do anything drastic! There's still hope - Introducing AnalogX Vocal Remover! AnalogX Vocal Remover works on the same principles that the hardware removers do - that in most instances vocals are equally mixed in both channels, and can identified and therefore removed by simply changing the phase on one channel by 180 degrees. While this won't remove vocals in all instances, it does work in many cases, and can sometimes be used to remove bass or breakbeat sections as well, which I find to be GREAT for sampling! Depending on the effects used on the vocals, sometimes the reverb or ambience of the vocals is left. In order to use the DirectX Vocal Remover, your application must support DirectX Audio Plugins, and must also support either realtime or non-realtime processing (such as Paris, Cakewalk, WaveLab, CoolEdit, etc). Vocal Remover REQUIRES a stereo sound streams, and supports either 16bit or 32bit data types. In order to use the WinAmp Vocal Remover, you must already have WinAmp installed in your system; it REQUIRES a stereo sound stream, and supports only 16bit data types.
  DC OFFSET v1.01
192K
Freeware
In a studio or mastering environment, nothing is more important than maintaining the utmost audio quality throughout the mix. One of the common problems that is encountered, that effects this is referred to as 'DC Offset', and simply means that a given audio source does not have the correct 0-crossing, and is shifted either up or down from there. Say hello to AnalogX DCOffset, and say goodbye to DC offset headaches forever! DCOffset is the ONLY DirectX Audio plugin capabable of not only correcting DC offset, but detecting and analyzing DC offset audio in realtime! Forget using a seperate application that has to scan the entire file before it can even get an approximate reading - DCOffset can do better after processing less than 10 seconds of incoming audio. Of course, DCOffset requires an application that supports DirectX Audio plugins (like the Paris or WaveLab), and works with either the realtime or non-realtime applications as well. DCOffset supports mono or stereo sound streams, as well as 16bit and 32bit data types.
  SAMPLE SLIDE
193K
Freeware
If you've ever used a large number of DirectX Audio plugins, you've probably discovered one of the major shortcomings, which is most plugins have slightly different latencies. Although in analog space there were several solution, there were no easy and accurate solution in DirectX for this sort of problem... UNTIL NOW! Introducing AnalogX SampleSlide, the FIRST and ONLY sample-accurate delay mechanism for DirectX Audio! That's right, sample accuracy; not just milliseconds (although you can use those also), but resolution down to each and every sample of the digital stream. Not only that, each stream can be delayed up to 2 seconds (it's limit, assuming 44.1k audio) and STILL maintain absolute sample accuracy. Of course, SampleSlide requires an application that supports DirectX Audio plugins (like the Paris or WaveLab), and works with either the realtime or non-realtime applications as well. SampleSlide supports mono or stereo sound streams, as well as 16bit and 32bit data types.
  BOUND v1.00
192K
Freeware
Its commonly said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and with that motto in mind, allow me to introduce AnalogX Bound. So what exactly does AnalogX Bound do? Well, it simply clamps any audio to within a user-specified range... What this eliminates is one of the more common errors a plugin makes with high-volume samples - wrapping. This means the other plugin would take something like a 32bit sample 1.1, and instead of clamping it to 1.0, it instead wraps it to -0.9, which is very bad. Of course, Bound requires an application that supports DirectX Audio plugins (like the Paris or WaveLab), and works with primarily realtime applications, although it might work with some non-realtime as well. Bound supports mono or stereo sound streams, as well as 16bit and 32bit data types, although it really is geared for 32bit audio.
  BIT POLICE v1.02
192K
Freeware
Have you ever run your audio through several DirectX Audio plugins, but what you got out the other end didn't sound quite a crisp and clean as the original? Well, all DirectX Audio plugins are not created equal, and you certainly don't want to take the manufacturers word on how good their plugins are (our plugins aren't the problem, it must be someone else). Sure, you could narrow it down through hours of checking, and using a whole host of other programs ... But that was before AnalogX BitPolice! Just like our fine officers on the streets, BitPolice is looking to catch some poor quality plugins in the act of trashing your audio fidelity! Simply start two copies of BitPolice, and place one before the plugin you're interested in, and one after... Then just compare the results, and the bit's don't lie! In order to use BitPolice, your application must support DirectX Audio Plugins, and must also support realtime processing (such as Paris or WaveLab). If your application forces you to render the output from DirectX plugins, you're out of luck and should complain to the people who wrote it, because there's nothing I can do to help you out.
  PHASE v1.00
189K
Freeware
This is truly one of the saddest things I've ever seen - Cakewalk doesn't support phase inverting of digital audio! What?!?! In response to a post in the Cakewalk newsgroup (they mentioned 'AnalogX' in it, so I saw it), I wrote this very quick little utility, which allows you to invert the phase of a DirectX audio stream. Not terribly useful for anyone who's using just about any other digital audio system, but for the ones that don't support this most basic feature, it's a real godsend. In order to use Phase, your application must support DirectX Audio Plugins, and must also support either realtime or non-realtime processing (such as Paris, Cakewalk, WaveLab, CoolEdit, etc). Phase will work with any number of channels, and supports either 16bit or 32bit data types.
  DXPAD v1.04
190K
Freeware
How many times have you worked on a project, and when you returned you have absolutely no clue where you left off? Or maybe you wrote it down, but who knows what happened to that little scrap of paper you jotted it down on... Miss those notepads that USED to be included in most music apps, but are nowhere to be found in most DAW's these days? Well, your longing has been answered... AnalogX DXPad is a very simple notepad, written inside of a DirectX Audio plugin. What this gives you the ability to do is store little notes in the actual data file of the application you normally use, and that's not all... Since DXPad is a DirectX plugin, you can have as many different notepads as you need! Best of all, DXPad has VERY low overhead, one of the testers actually had 64 DXPad's open and running with a less than 6% CPU utilization! In order to use DXPad, your application must support DirectX Audio Plugins, and must also support realtime processing (such as Paris or WaveLab). If your application forces you to render the output from DirectX plugins, you're out of luck and should complain to the people who wrote it, because there's nothing I can do to help you out.
  MIDI MOUSE MOD v1.04
220K
Freeware
MIDI Mouse Mod is another in my series of alternative input devices for MIDI information... This one allows you to move the mouse on a grid and modify up to 4 continuous MIDI controllers in realtime! If you've ever used a Korg Wavestation, and it's little joystick, this is like that, on steroids (but not anabolic steroids, those are illegal!). You can control the direction of the controller information (0-127 or 127-0), the screen space used (entire grid or just half), and if the controller switches to another halfway through. Very very very cool for synthesizers that allow realtime control of envelope, etc (like the Novation BassStation), or even for your run of the mill board (they pretty much ALL support volume and pan). This also has the Virtual Piano functionality built into it as well.
  VIRTUAL PIANO v1.09
217K
Have you ever wished that there was some way to easily play notes on your Synthesizer, without leaving the computer? I'm sure everyone has spend many sleepless nights because of this problem, so now I introduce to you - Virtual Piano! VPiano allows you to play your synth by making the computer keyboard into a 4-octave piano keyboard. Sure, you're probably not going to be able to play classical music this way, but you can experiment and have fun using a very different interface than normal, which can sometimes help to stimulate the creative process. You must have a MIDI output device, as well as a sound source to use this program (anything from a Soundblaster to a Midi TimePiece will do); then just run the program, configure the MIDI devices, and start jamming!
  ARPEGGIATOR v1.03
225K
Freeware
Arpeg is just as the name implies... A MIDI-based Arpeggiator! It can work with any synth or sampler you have, just load it up, set up the channel, and make the pattern it will mute/unmute to! You can even save out your arpeggiator patterns, and trade them with your friends!
