  AUTO TUNE v2.30
235K
Freeware
How many nights have you sat up in the wee hours of the night, with your sampler or sample program, tweaking the pitchbend controller trying to tune a sample to your song? Ever swapped samples with a friend only to realize he samples at 'A', while you sample at 'C'? Ever just wished the computer would do something cool for you? Get ready for the year 2001 and beyond with AutoTune! AutoTune analyses sampled sounds in frequency space to allow you to tune all of your sounds to the same frequency! Just simply enter the note you want to use as the base for all of your sounds, such as C3, and then simply drag your samples onto the application, and voila! Let AutoTune do the rest! AutoTune can also be used to convert directories, instead of individual files, by simply dragging the directory onto the app. Now, AutoTune is VERY computationally intensive, so it can take it a while for the analysis to take place, be patient! AutoTune is also pretty memory intensive, using around 6 to 8 megs of RAM for the average file, so the more memory you have, the faster it will run. AutoTune now supports mono and stereo WAV files, 8/16/24/32 bit formats (both MS and IEEE), and can also normalize and DC correct samples!
  INTERLEAVE v1.00
218K
Freeware
If you've done a fair amount of digital audio, you've probably noticed that when you backup your audio tracks, and then restore them, sometimes it seems to take more CPU time or not perform as well as it used to... This isn't your imagination, this is the joys of interleaved files. A normal file loves to be written out linearly; with every byte following the last byte, but digital audio doesn't work the same way, it prefers each sample to be woven with the next tracks sample, and that's just what this does... AnalogX Interleave takes a file (normally a single audio track from a multitrack recording), and interleaves it with any number of other files you select, with independent header and content sizes for each file! This allows you to re-interleave files that you might have previously archived, or even improve the performance of files stored on another drive (since normal file copy will copy the file in a linear fashion again).
  ACM CONVERT v1.01
228K
Freeware
So you want to convert that cool new MP3 song you just downloaded (one of mine, right?), into a WAV file so you can burn a CD, but how? Is there a simple solution out there? And what about if you want to convert a WAV back into an MP3? Behold ACM Convert, a simple to use standalone utility that allows you to convert between MP3 and WAV, using ACM (Microsofts Audio Compression Management API). Finally, not only is there an easy way to encode WAV's to MP3's, but to decode them back as well! Woohoo! As with all things Microsoft, there are a couple of caveats to get it working (you need both ACM and NetShow installed) - it's especially important to READ THE DOCS!!! For the inside scoop on how this works, refer to the enclosed readme! You will need to have ACM installed on your machine (chances are it already is, I think it's a default part of IE4 or greater), as well as NetShow to be able to encode MP3's; you can get the latest version of NetShow (3.01) from here. NetShow v3.01 There are also commercially available MP3 encoders that use ACM, such as the Opticom MP3 Encoder, but you have to pay for those. There are also other codecs available, you'll just have to look around for them, but under NO circumstances email me asking about them, I just don't keep track... Also, to help narrow things down, this converter ONLY support's ACM MP3 codecs, nothing else. If you run into ANY problems, make sure to read the docs before emailing me; most of the time it has nothing to do with anything I can help you out with - it's either Microsoft's problem, or the ACM codec problem; plus it's always easier to blame someone else, right? :)
  SCRATCH v1.05
381K
Why should DJ's have all the fun scratching records? It just isn't fair, and when people across the globe are being ridiculed and laughed at by their peers just because they don't have some 1200's and a bunch of records; then it's time for the ULTIMATE equalizer -> AnalogX Scratch! If you can move the mouse, then you can scratch like the best DJ's in the world! Really! Ok, not really, you still need to practice a whole bunch, but at least you don't need to buy any LP's or turntables! No records getting scratched, no needles needing to be replaced, or belts breaking (assuming you're not on a 1200) at the most inopportune times! With AnalogX Scratch, you can load up two wave files (one to help you keep rhythm, the other to actually scratch), and start scratching away... Best of all, when you've come up with something you really like, you can output it to a 16bit, 44.1k WAV file! This is GREAT for creating custom scratches for songs, whether you transfer it over to your Emax or load it up in Acid! And just so you aren't starting from scratch (no pun intended), two WAV files are included in the install so you can get a feel for what it's all about!
  DELAY CALCULATOR v1.13
206K
Freeware
Have you ever wanted to get a tap delay sounding just right, and fiddled for hours with millisecond delay, trying to get it tight? Or have you ever wanted to quickly know what the delay time should be for a certain BPM (tempo)? If so, then behold the Delay Calculator! A cool little ditty that you just load up, type in the tempo, and it does all the work, giving you delay times down to a 32nd! Superfast, supersmall, and supereasy to use - that's our motto here at AnalogX! Both GUI and commandline version of this utility are available.
  DRIVE TIME v1.21
211K
Freeware
Remember the good ol' days when you just needed to glance over at the reel-to-reel to see how much time you had left on it? I've spent alot of time looking at the harddisk, but I can't ever seem to guess just how much space is left, and getting back something like 43 megs isn't overly helpful either... Is that enough space to squeeze in another take or two? Finally, AnalogX helps bring back a bit of the past, and modernize it, as only AnalogX can, with DriveTime! DriveTime sits happily on your task bar, and tells you how much time is left on a harddisk, but in human terms like minutes and hours, not bytes and megs. Sample rate, bit depth, and channels can all be customized to make the display as accurate as possible. To exit, just right click on it, and select 'Exit', but I don't think you'll ever want to.
  SONG CALCULATOR v1.13
206K
Freeware
If you've ever done commercials, or worked with doing music for video, then you know how difficult it can be figuring out just what BPM (tempo) to use, and how long it will be. SongTime is a down-and-dirty little app to take the drudgery and guesswork out of figuring it out! Just run SongTime, enter in the BPM, Beats/Measure, and number of measures, and it will tell you not only how long it will be, but also frame and keyframe times as well. Then, just play with the BPM or any of the other parameters, until the time is right where you want it. Both GUI and commandline version of this utility are available.
  RHYME v1.23
946K
Freeware
Rhyme is, if you couldn't guess by the name, a rhyming program. Type in any word (it knows more than 100,000!), tell it how many syllables to match (or phonemes), and click 'Rhyme'; it's that simple. Words appear in the dialog below, and simply use the one that works for whatever you're doing. It can rhyme words forward, backwards, and with matching syllable counts.
