Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H has spoken to WWF officials into bringing in Diamond Dallas Page when or if he is released from his WCW contract. WWF does not want to sign anyone from WCW, to make their lockerroom troubled backstage.
WWF is hoping Austin can appear at the 9/24 Unforgiven PPV or the following Raw is War. The Raw is War will be WWF's first show on TNN. Austin was speculated to make an in-ring return at the October PPV, but, it may have to be pushed back to a later date; possibly Survior Serious in November. Steve Austin is now eligable to execute his Stone Cold stunner. WWF will be flying wrestlers out to Austin's house to train him and get him back in shape when he makes his return to the WWF.
Jim Ross sent out a memo to all WWF wrestlers saying that the WWF is currently not interested in coversing with WCW workers who will possibly be getting out of their contract. WWF is currently happy with the group of talent they have right now. WWF isn't interested in buying out anyone's contract from WCW. However, if WCW grants a wrestler the full release, WWF is interested in picking whomever up.
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler had their XFL announcing try outs, and according to several sources they did very well. It isn't expected for them to be granted with these posistions due to the fact that neither man has been called back and NBC is already in negotiations with other commentators. Feelings are passing that NBC doesn't want Ross or Lawler working with XFL as fans will think the product worked.
