Gray Wolves, also known as Timber Wolves can now only be found in Northern Europe and Russia, Canada, and Alaska, and some of the northern United States.
Gray Wolves live in groups called packs. The leader of the pack is called the Alpha Male and his mate is the Alpha Female, together the make the Alpha pair . The lowest member of the wolf pack is called the Omega Wolf. The young wolves are called Juveniles.
A Gray Wolf can become 6.5 feet long and weigh 175 pounds. Gray wolves are gray, white, black, and brown.
Wolves hunt and eat large animals such as reindeer and sheep and small animals such as birds. WOLVES DO NOT HUNT OR EAT HUMANS!
Wolves live in a number of areas. Some are caves, thickets, and holes. A wolves home is called a den.
