The strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored. Equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
Free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity. Government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
..."Let's Get There Together!"
Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times. Americans must value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
... FREEDOM GRANTS YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES.
It's time for our communities to be the "gem" we know they can be!

ISSUES

Education has got to be a priority. What message does it send to our children if we don't fight to put their future first?! Children cannot continue to ride buses for hours each way to school and then come home early evening and be expected to produce quality work and be an interactive member of their family.

Seniors are an important asset to our community. They need resources to keep them independent and healthy and comfortable. Some seniors have to chose between their medication or eating. Family leave should include elder care - right now it only includes immediate family, not aging grandparents, aunts or uncles. Adults that take off work to care for aging family should be granted aid in the form of care-giver stipends and tax credits (dependent).

Homeless - men, women, children, babies, seniors, veterans, mentally ill... these make up the homeless population. The numbers are increasing... what are we doing about it? Affordable Dome Housing $6500. each can be erected in 2 hours and subdivided into two living quarters (www.domevillage.com). We have land that - former military bases - why can't we use them to form productive communities? There should be a law that portable toilets be placed and maintained in urban communities. Many Americans are just one paycheck away from being homeless - we have to start treating others as we wish to be treated ourselves.

Veterans - There must be satellite offices to aid Veterans in communities. Vets cannot always travel to the larger hospital facilities. There are a myriad of veteran issues that must be addressed. Those that faced danger to protect our lives should be honored and given what was promised to them when they signed up for the military. www.crva.net

Violence - is escalating. Current gun laws must be enforced. Politicians are currently offering new laws... is anyone being held accountable for the unenforced ones?

Drugs - Rep. Dixon sat on the Intelligence Committee for many, many years... during which time fellow Congressmembers Maxine Waters and Juanita Millender-McDonald brought the attention to the Crack Cocaine and CIA connection to South Central Los Angeles. Waters and Millender-McDonald brought the plight to the press... Rep. Dixon said there was no connection. Who was right? Crack addiction is a epidemic disease and should be treated as such. What is being done now?

There are many more issues and this site will be updated from time to time.

"When you hear me say 'By any means necessary', I mean exactly that. Political, economic social, physical - anything that's necessary - as long as it's intelligently designed to get results." - Malcolm X.
