Not to be confused with the sexist gameshow "Three's A Crowd" which pitted wives against their husband's secretaries to see which woman he knew more intimately.
In this "Three's Company" spinoff, John Ritter returns as Jack Tripper. When Jack's Roommates moved out (presumably that's Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne "Thighmaster" Somers), Jack decided to marry Vicky Bradford, flight attendant. They moved into an apartment over "Jack's Bistro", Tripper's restaurant. Vicky, however, didn't want to marry, opting instead to live with Jack, much to the chargin of her father who would constantly barge in on them--similar to Schneider intruding on Ms. Romano, or perhaps Endora popping in to visit "Dum Dum".
After this show was cancelled, ABC aired reruns of "Three's A Crowd" on weekday mornings from Sept. 1985 - Jan. 1986.
John Ritter returned to TV as Detective Harry Hooperman on "Hooperman", Steven Bochco's dramedy which lasted only 2 seasons. Most recently, Ritter had a guest appearance on "Ally McBeal" as another one of Ally's crushes. |
