This show only lasted 1 (one) episode!
"Co-Ed Fever" capitalized on the popularity of the 1978 movie "Animal House" starring John Belushi. The other networks had their own respective "Animal House" ripoffs, too: ABC had "Delta House" which only lasted from January to April of 1979, and NBC had "Brothers and Sisters" about three buddies who lived at the Pi Nu fraternity at Larry Krandall College. It also lasted from January to April of 1979.
No matter how short-lived those clone shows were, "Co-Ed Fever" lasted even less time. In fact, it didn't even make it past one episode. It was seen only once as a CBS "special preview" on Sunday, February 4, 1979 at 10:30 pm and never even made it to its regular time slot which was supposed to have been on Monday.
The setting of "Co-Ed Fever" was a co-ed dorm at rustic Baxter College. The dormitory, Brewster House, had lots of kooky characters running around including Sandi (a sexy blonde, I'm sure this was a real original character!) and a spaced-out housemother, Mrs. Shelby. |
