Our last gig will be in Club Nirvana this Sunday (29th July) at the North By North West Arts Festival in Wigan. Thanks to everyone who has come down to a gig and shown us support over the years. We're giving away free copies on the 11th of November at The Tavern gig. Be there October 15th NEW DEMO! Our new demo is nearly finished and we are in the process of mixing and remixing it now. We are pleased to announce we have found a new drummer. His name is Mike Bell. Come along too our upcoming gigs to check our new line up along with some new songs. June 3rd - UPDATE As you may already know Rick has left the band. At present we do not have a drummer, but, we are still playing Haigh Hall. Rob Fairhurst (of Hector fame) has kindly stepped in to play for us. So everythings looking good. We also may have another special guest if all goes to plan.. This is certainly not the end of The Tonics. We do have a new drummer lined up and hopefully will make an anouncement after Haigh Hall. Haigh Hall, will be our last gig for a while. We will be releasing a new demo titled 'Tahiti' shortly and then taking a long break off to work on a new set of songs with a totally new direction. 'Tahiti' perfectly demonstrates the direction we wish to go in. Haigh Hall will see the end to a lot of the songs in the set, so come along to hear them for the last time... Thanks to anyone who has come to a gig in the past twelve months and supported us. Also on the bill are friends The Mod Cons and Carl Pierce. So come along! october 28th 05 TONICS AT NIRVANA THIS SUNDAY! The Tonics have been added to this Sundays bill at Club Nirvana. Other bands playing are This Devasted Fan, Rush to the Yukon, Guernica, The Sound. Be there! october 18th 05 GIG ANNOUNCED! The Tonics will play Club Nirvana tomorrow (19th) (Stepping in at the last minute as a band have pulled out) Be there! october 17th 05 102.4 WISH FM The Tonics recorded two songs (accoustic unplugged versions of 'Dial Tone' and 'Dirty Little Secret') for Wish Fm yesterday. Tune in this Thursday (20th) to hear a short interview and the two tracks! october 10th 05 If you would like some flyers for this Saturdays gig at The Tavern (get in cheaper) email thetonics@hotmail.co.uk and we can send you some. Hope to see you there! september 15th 05 GIG ANNOUNCED! The Tonics will play the Tavern on Saturday October 15th with Moco! Also on the bill are Lander and Money & The Masses. Lots of new material will be played - so be there! august 23rd 05 For anybody interested - were getting ready to record a demo soon. Hopefully it will be done sometime in September. 'Dirty Little Secret', 'Dial Tone' and 'How About Now?' are being recorded along with two new tracks. Hopefully Bobby Smaxxx will be recording us. We should be gigging again in October.
