Slade of rocket town---Oct-7-99
"The clouds are unusually black tonight" the elder thought "I wonder what is making it do that. Probably something the Hord is doing. I can't believe it has been a year since they over come us and took control."
The elder walked into his home thinking of the day's before the Hord came. The Hord is the name the humans gave them when they attacked. There real name is unknown. The elder is the only elder left of the Hi Council that stood in rule before the Hord. He used all his power when he fought on the lines, but him being the strongest, when he fell so did the others. The Hord killed the rest of the elders, but keep this one alive to use him as a reminder of how strong they are. Now all he can do is be a story teller of how the past once was.
"Wow! That lightning is strange. It seems to be hitting in one spot. I wonder," he said as he headed to the spot of the lightning hit's.
The elder finally came to the place were the lightning was hitting. He saw the bolts hit the ground, but was able to walk up to it with no shock. As he reached the spot the lightning stopped and there stood a very large rock with a flat top. On the top there was a sword. The sword had the handel of a dragon and the blade was shining bright. The elder bent over to pick up the sword, but as soon as he touched it a voice was heard
"The sword of light will not be able to stop the minions of hell alone. It needs the holder of light and the servants of god to prevail. Elder Decca you are the one the fighters of light will come to. You will be the one to teach them of the power they hold."
"How will I know them," said the elder.
"You will feel the power when the get near you. One will come from the mountains, one from the plains, and the holder of light will come from the forest. When the three come together they will gain the power of light and stop the minions," the voice said.
At that the voice left. Decca grabbed the sword and went to his home.

The flickering light over his head brought him out of his dreamless coma
state and back to Mother Earth, but what greeted him made the young man
wonder if this was such a good thing. All around him the creaking of
girders and the infrequent falling of cracked concrete made him think that this
was not the safest place to be right now. A few bodies were scattered around
him and the broken capsule that he was sitting in, so charred and dried they
looked like mummies that had been given up to be burned. So, he thought to himself, just who am I and what am I doing here? He looked at his
throbbing arm and noticed the lettering on it.
"Ja

"It says Jacob," a voice said.
"Where are you?" Jacob said even though he did not move his lips
"Not here," the voice said, amused.
"Not where?" Jacob said, his lips still not moving.
"Not in the building that is about to crush you or anywhere else for that
matter, at least where you can get to as of this moment." The voice said
again, still amused. "You had better leave and take everything that you
can grab. You'll need it."
Jacob looked back up at the caving roof and made the mad dash for the
only door he saw. He grabbed a shield and a sword on his way out. When Jacob
ran out he found himself in a plain with a building that could pass as a hill
behind him. The rumbling of the hill/building stopped all sound as it
fell in on itself, possibly burying everything that could tell Jacob who he
was.
"You'll need some clothes," the voice said as he watched the building
collapse.
"Why?" Jacob asked.
"Well you're not exactly presentable right now, you're nude." the voice
spoke, stern, like it was wasting it's time.
"Where do I get some clothes?" Jacob asked as, much to his shock, he
found he was naked.
"I'll tell you." The voice replied.
Jwyrm of RT--Oct-12-99
Jacob walked to the edge of the field until the town came into view. It
looked peaceful but Jacob knew the place had hidden fortifications
everywhere past this point. Almost like he had lived there all his life
"So what do I do now?" Jacob asked, "I will be seen and probably
imprisoned."
"Shut up boy," the voice replied, annoyed at Jacob for some reason; again,
"I'm trying to concentrate."
Jacob felt a fire behind his eyes for a moment after the voice finished
talking. He took up his shield to see his face, seeing as how he cold not
even remember that. He had brown hair that was parted down the middle and
hung just above his ears, and his nose was a little larger than most
people's were, but that was fine. He had a tapered jawline that came to a
rounded chin, with a 5 o'clock shadow growing there. The real marvel of his
face was his glowing eyes; the alternating blue and purple glow given off
was almost mesmerizing.
Jacob saw something else in the mirror surface of the shield; it slithered
its way down his back after it dislodged itself from the back of his head.
Jacob backed away as it grew both in size and length once it hit the ground.
It was snake shaped with one long red eye extending from one temple to the
other. In it's mouth were hundreds of crystalline, needle-like teeth, and on
its breath it carried the carrion of those whose life it had ended with the
teeth.
"So, you actually can see me." The same voice that had been inside his head
now came from the creature before him; "Not many can find a Hord mind-bender
after one attaches to its victims. My lords were right; you are powerful,
but ultimately foolish. My name is Rezschalee, I want you to remember it
while you die."
The demon snake attacked Jacob while he still reeled from the fact that it
had used him, that it was even real at all. Jacob held firmly on to the
shield as the demon coiled around him, his sword now a few feet from him,
close enough to grab but ultimately out of reach. The giant serpent first
started to squeeze Jacob before it realized that with the shield in the way
it would never stop Jacob's breathing. It the bit savagely into Jacob's
shoulder then reared back again for another strike.
Jacob blocked the second bite with his shield, then brought its edge down
on the exposed tail. Spurting from the severed tail was black "blood" that
released a toxic sewer smell and ate away at the shield's metal surface.
Jacob flew back wards as the fire spell impacted him roughly. The energy
behind Jacob's energy filled eyes built to a crescendo while his body seemed
to vibrate. The ball of blue energy gathered in his hand while Jacob stared
at his opponent, then with blinding speed it formed a blue bolt and seared
though the mind-bender. It collapsed in a heap and began to dissolve into a
murky brown liquid; the smell was an overpowering combination of disease,
excrement, and death. Jacob soon fell as well when the blood loss from his
shoulder caught up with him.
He did not even notice the soldiers that ran up to his still body after
witnessing the last of the fight.
"Get some medics here," one shouted to the group, "we've got a Hord
victim." |
