Fashion was a big whopper in those days; you had to look pretty schnazzy to be hangin with the big cats in those days, Clyde. To be hip, you had to walk the walk, talk the talk, and have a crazy pink slip (hot rod); if you didn't, you'd just be noggined as a regular old Clyde. So, let's get razzin'!
Clothing: Rags back then were pretty neat-o to me, but that's just me. The dolls wore: Big ol' collars, long skirts or dresses, ya never THOUGHT about wearin pants, and that Marilyn Monroe? Boy, that fine kitty was the biggest idol in fashion back then for the ladies! They ALWAYS wore gloves to anything formal, and so much tweed, you couldn't think straight! They had those coin purses, too, and REAL big flowers on their skirts, and patent leather belts with the big white circle buckle? That was hot.
Guys wore: a lotta leather jackets, I'll tell ya that, they wore converse all the time unless it was motorcycle boots, they wore straight led trousers and jeans, and you could usually see the hip ones with a cigarette in their paws. Elvis was the bigggest fashion idol for the boys, he was a real find dresser, that cat!
Hair: Hair was big back then, and real important, too. Babes wore their hair real curly-like, and it always hat a real big flip outwards at the end of their strands. They used lotsa' serum, hot rollers in bed, and hair dryers were big, too.
Guys wore their hair real slick-like, and that Elvis got the black hair to be real schnazzy, too. The guys always had that real big loop on the front side of their do', and the chicks really digged that stuff.
shoes: the footwear wasn't real big back then, but it was still important. Kitties wore: real high pumps, wedges, t-straps, and that was about it.
Guys wore: Converse all the time, motorcycle boots, also.
