The Journey of Glory
I see us both on this road
Side by side we walk along
Each to carry his own load
A cross we bear, to each his own
On this journey, so few have taken
Near and far, they bear their cross
I see some walking, some are pacing
Not one believes that they are lost
This road is clearly marked with suffering
Not knowing when the winding path
Will curve or lead us down a valley
Or a glorious scene of lilly grass
All move along this mysterious trail
For the promise of love and peace
Eternal life, so we prevail
Marchin to the drummers beat
And if you stop along the way
For the burdens much to bear
Ill stop with you just to say
Jesus knows and cares
He knows our aches & our pains.
For He suffered just the same.
Remember what He did for us,
How much we have to gain,
By moving forward and ahead
For this race is set before us,
Until the day we that we arrive
Shout Glory, He is glorious!
