FORGIVEN
I find at times its hard to grasp
The scope of everything
That Jesus died once for all
To save us from our sins
We trip and fall time again
Asking Him for pardon
As we often miss the mark
Exiled from the Garden
But often times what happens next
Is we rely on self
To change our ways, refuse to sin
Leaving the bible on the shelf
Since we can do no good alone
Lets not fall into a snare
Thinking cuz weve done some wrong
That now He doesnt care
But know that God accepted you
When you fell before the cross
And asked him for forgiveness
All your sins were lost
He bore all our iniquity
Released us from all shame
When He hung upon the tree
He glorified His name
No matter what you do or say
You cannot strive alone
Humble down before the King
To fall before His throne
Then give Him thanks for all Hes done
From the beginning to the end
Rejoicing that for all sin
Jesus, He did send
Fear, doubt, confusion, guilt
We know where that comes from
He redeemed us all so lets embrace
That all His work is done
Though we may not feel worthy
Of all His grace and mercy
Christian, you got it right so far
We really dont deserve it.
But God is Love and He forgives
His mercys beyond compare
He loves each and everyone
So be assured that He cares.
In every detail of our lives
He wants to be included
He considers us as His friend
By His Word, He proved it
Get hold of Wisdom & of Knowledge
Its all within our reach
To grasp, read, learn, seek,
Meditate and teach.
P.S. Sometimes we just need to get the focus off ourselves
