Welcome to the homepage for the S.E.M. Horror Writer’s Guild. We exist as a
prestigious close knit community of professional writers of the Horror Genre. Our goal is
to provide for our members in many ways, such as resources, critique, markets, and
promotion of published works. You don’t have to be a published writer to become a
member, but you do need to have a deep appreciation for the art of horror.
Writing in the Horror genre takes a special person. The horror writer is a breed unto
himself. He is a complicated sort, his attention always seeming to be focused on
something just beyond the horizon. His mind lurks in unspeakable places. He deals with
death on an everyday basis, sometimes even having the reaper over for dinner. And above
all, he never sleeps well.
