A cure will come when we learn to cope with our strong emotions, as these are issues of the heart. Soul is the eternal, true identity & essence--- the true Self & sacred part of each person. Who were you as a child? Who were you before society put labels on you and told you how you should act? The child that lives inside all of us is that true Self. The older wisdom was the most pure and free of Western society's tampering/interpretations. The purpose of looking back into history and beliefs of our ancestors is not intended to cause us to regress. We look back in the vast reservoir of ancient wisdom with the intent of seeing ahead. Ancient Africa was the cradle of all civilization. Human society had reached a significant plateau in development in that old Nile Valley (Egyptian) civilization. Since the time of the peak of the Egyptian civilization, scholars have devoted themselves to studying the unique elements of that ancient Black society---once called Nubia (Kemet). There are records that indicate that our ancient ancestors believed that people came from other planets to teach 'earth-lings' sciences and knowledge. Some modern scholars and leaders believe that the old knowledge can be the source of redemption for modern society. The tombs of ancient Egypt are testimonies to those people's profession of spiritualism and belief in the survival of the "soul." The same truths and concepts of God are parallel with many other religions. In fact, most "religions" (as we now know them) had their origin in ancient spiritual wisdom from Africa. Modern-day scientists have conducted research involving the relationship of the Pyramids and found that they have some mystical connection with the planets, stars and other galaxies. The ancient Egyptians were the first people to have recorded writings about the "soul" ---and they believed in the eternal existence of life. Oriental Medicine (Herbal Sciences) asserted that the human body has a divine aspect and that it will heal itself. They used no drugs to induce healing. Instead they used methods (e.g. acupuncture, massage, yoga, Reiki, herbs, etc.) that assisted the body in doing what it was naturally built to do. The ancient African teachers asserted that the objective of studying the mind (psychology) was to gain awareness of the full dimensionality of the soul.
