LETS BEGIN THE LESSON WITH ADDITION. ADDITION MEANS ADDING TWO THINGS TOGETHER, COMBINING TWO THINGS. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU HAVE 3 APPLES AND YOU GET 1 MORE YOU HAVE 4 APPLES, IN MATH IT IS WRITTEN AS 3 + 1 = 4. REMEMBER THAT ITS ACTUALLY 3.0 + 1.0 = 4.0 THE REASON THE ZERO IS NOT USUALLY MENTIONED IS BECAUSE ITS ALREADY HIDDEN THERE, WE USE DECIMALS TO PRESENT SOMETHING IN SMALL QUANTITY. FOR EXAMPLE TOMMY DIVIDED OR CUTTED 1 PIZZA SLICE INTO 2. SO THERE IS 1 SLICE AND THEN YOU CUT IT INTO 2 THEN HOW MUCH DO YOU HAVE? THE CORRECT ANSWER IS 1/2 OR A HALF OR 0.5 HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES:
2.1 + 3.6 = 5.7 OR A.B + A.B = A+A and B+B AND THE . GOES DOWN
3.2 + 3.6 = 6.8
3.9 + 0.7 = 4.6 9 + 7 = 14 THEN THE 1 IS THE CARRY WHICH GETS ADDED TO 1+3+0=4 SO, 4.6
