OKLAHOMA CITY --

"Acting Director Jerry Regier on Wednesday
revealed widespread employment abuses
at the state Health Department in what
he labeled a "ghost employee" scandal.

Regier said employees were carried on
the department's payroll, some for several years,
but there is no record that
they had any duties or even showed up for work."
