CHRISTMAS CAMP
Most SARS programs begin the season with Christmas Camp. It is a favorite club tradition. Christmas Camp kicks off the season with 5 consectutive days of skiing from December 27-31. The skiers meet at 9:00 am and ski until 3:00 pm, with an hour lunch from 11:30 to 12:30. It is a great time for new skiers to try SARS. All skiers are assigned to a coach depending on age and ability. At the end of Christmas Camp, new skiers can decide if they want to continue with SARS for the balance of the season. Christmas Camp fees can then be applied to full season suition. It is a festive week full of activities.
Christmas Camp is a chance for the entire team to come together on the same mountain at the same time to begin the season. All age groups will be working on the fundamentals of skiing through various drills and exercises designed to get athletes back on their skis after a long summer. The more advanced athletes that are racing early will be running practice courses, working on early season timing and tactics.
