Industry: conveyor belt, electric drills, saws, elevators, cranes, photocopiers, chargers. Communication: telephones, T.V., radios, fax machines, computer, cellphone, pagers, satelites, telegraphs. Transportation: subway, trolley, train, airplain, ships, cars, trucks,electric wheelchairs, helicopters, jets, rockets, motorbikes, dirt bikes, jet ski, electric scooters. Medicine and Science: x-ray, electrocardio graph, microscopes, electron scanners, surgic lasers, . These are only a few of the electricity we use in our everyday lives. Do not fly kites or climb trees near power lines. Never go near a fallen power line. Find shelter indoors during a lightning storm. Use the telephone only on emergencies. Try not to use electronic devices that use an outlet. Refrigerator: Keep a refrigerator from stuff like ovens, dishwashers. Clean and dust coils at least once a year. Keep fresh food compartment between 37 and 40 degrees. Old spare Refrigerator or freezer cost you at least $200 per year. Stove: Consider using pressure cooker because you would use much more electricity. With out water you use 3 times more electricity than you should like spaghetti. ALWAYS turn off aplliances when not using them thank you very much. Incandesent light bubls are used more but flourescane lights are much more energy efficient. Dress appopriately on cold days. Don';t have many lightbulbs that give off little light and use alot of watts. USe on big light source instead of many small ones. If you are going out of your house or not coming back for a little while, make sure you tour your air conditioning down. Put the pot or pan on the burner so you don't lose heat. Cook extra food eg. cook an extra squash for tommorows lunch and heating it up later. Sunday is strangely the cheapest day to use your stove (Cook ALL of your stuff on this day) :) When you are not using the computer for over an hour, turn of the screen. the screen accounts for 60% of the computers electricity billls. Your water heater lose and gain heat over then night and day, you lose alot of your heating bill like this. Put some sort of insulation for your heater if possible. DOn't use hot water if cold water can give you the same results eg. cleaning vegetables.
