Beer Bread

Serves : one loaf

Ingredients:

3 cups self rising flour
1 12 oz can of beer (any brand)
3 tablespoons sugar

Mix all ingredients throughly.
Pour into a butter or greased 9x5x3 loaf pan
Bake at 350* for 1 hour or until done when tested.



Chili Cheese & Onion Puffs

1 cup bisquick
3 tablespoons chopped green chilis
1 egg
1 cup shredded cheese (recomend sharp or mild cheddar)
2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Preheat over at 400*

Mix all ingredients throughly.
Drop dough 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet

Bake 10-12 mins. or until golden brown



Banana Bread

serves: 1 loaf

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon double acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup mashed bananas (ripe)
2eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans optional

Pre-heat oven to 350*
Grease and flour 9" bread loaf pan
Mix in large bowl the flour, sugar,baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Cut in the shortening until the mixture appears as crumbs
Stir in bananas and eggs with a fork
If adding nuts add them here.
Mix throughly.

Pour into pan
Bake 55 mins to an hour.
Let cool 10-15 mins before removing from pan and cool
completely on a wire rack.



Pumpkin Bread Supreme

Serves: 2 loaves

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon double acting baking powder
1 16 ounce can pumpkin (2 cups)
2/3 cups salad oil
3 eggs, slightly beaten

Preheat oven to 350*
Grease and flour lightly two 9" baking loaf pans
In large bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking soda,ground cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and double acting baking powder.
Blend in the pumpkin, salad oil and eggs with a fork.
Mix throughly.
Pour batter into the pans splitting the amounts evenly.

Bake one hour or until toothpick comes out clean
Cool on wire rack.



FRENCH ROLLS

1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tbs melted butter
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp fast acting yeast

In breadmaker, combine ingredients in order given; mix on dough setting.
Turn out on lightly floured surface and punch down. Form dough into narrow loaf about 10 inches long; cut into eight pieces, then halve those. Place on greased baking sheet; cover and allow to rise until doubled. Bake at 400° F. 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.



UPSIDE-DOWN ORANGE PUFFS

Ingredients:

2 tbs. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. grated orange rind
3 tbs. orange juice
1 can (4 1/2oz) refrigerated biscuits

Combine first 4 ingredients; mix well. Pour about 1 tbs. orange mixture in each cup of a 6-cup muffin pan. Place 1 biscuit in each cup. Bake at 400° F. about 10 minutes. Invert pan on serving platter; serve warm. Serves 6.
