Square recently released information regarding the next two Final Fantasy titles. On the FFX front, the legendary company released sales goals for the anticipated title. The company is projecting Final Fantasy X to sell a staggering 3.5 million copies in Japan alone. In the United States and Europe, Square expects sales to run as high as 1.8 million copies for the first 128-bit Final Fantasy title.
Final Fantasy XI has raised eyebrows throughout the gaming industry as the first title in the storied franchise to be completely online. Squaresoft recently shed further light on that title, stating that FFXI will boast an incredible number of characters: the roster is expected to exceed 2,000. The characters are more than skins, however, as each of them has specific and unique goals to achieve while journeying with fellow game players. According to the company, gamers will communicate with each other via a unique system of symbols.
