I will be teaching Banner-Making Classes:
Sunday January 16, 12:00 PM
3:00 PM
4:00 PM
All these times are Eastern Standard Time

Still under construction:

*Attention! This is only MY way to create banners*

OK, I finally have time to create a Making Banners section! There have been some really nasty rumors going around (I didn't even know my site was popular enough to have a hate-club) that I use a website to create banners online, but I do it in MSPaint from scratch! Well, almost scratch,
I did create a standard size blank banner:

(Right Click the pic then click Save Pictue As SAVE IT AS A BITMAP(.BMP) NOT .ART!!! ... Save it where you'll remember it)
(E-mail me or my fabulous robot, Poksíbot, at lokipeta@aol.com for it as a pic or download)

When people IM me or e-mail me how do I make banners, it's really hard to explain. Not because I don't want competition (it'd be great to have another skilled banner-maker working on all those orders) it's that I really didn't learn from anything or anyone. I taught myself. In fact, the only things I use to make banners is MSPaint, my blankbanner document, the order I get, and some help for finding pics ( I get some really tough-to-find ones from Psypoke.com - What a great site, I get the ones from the newer versions at http://www.newwave.org/pokemon/news/gands233251.html ) I occasionally enlist help from my friends, like IcyGuy421@aol.com, in finding the colors of people websites. That's it! There's no secret to banner making at all. But I know, it can be pretty hard when you're not a computer geek and your non-school/work/extracurricular/social life revovles around your computer.

So here are some basic steps:
1) Go into MSPaint and Open the blankbanner.
2) Type any text/Draw any pictures OUTSIDE the rectangle.
3) Put the text and pics into the rectangle in an organized collage sort of thing.
*Don't worry if the go outside the rectangle.
4) If any went outside the rectagle, Zoom In on the spot.
5) Take the line and draw a black line over the covered line.
*Do this in all areas
6) select the dashed rectange (I'll have a pic soon) and drag it over all pictures over the line.
7) Ta-da! Your done with your banner
OK, that's as basic as I can go.
Here's some Extra Stuff:

To get other BMPs into your document:
1) Click Edit-Paste From...
2) Open the file you want in your blank banner
3) It will bring the entire other document into the banner

To get an image to cover another one (This is default):
1) Select the dotted square
2) at the bottom of the toolbar, select the lower box
3) Drag the image over the other one

To get an image to NOT cover another one:
1) Select the dotted sqare
2) at the bottom of the toolbar, select the higher box
3) Drag the image to the other one.
