Story
The main character in Final Fantasy VIII is a young man named Squall. He is a trainee at a special school for soldiers called Garden. Garden is a private school consisting of trainees between the ages of 6 and 19. A graduating exam can be taken between the ages of 15 and 19. If the trainee fails to pass the exam by the age of 19, the trainee is expelled. In Final Fantasy VIII, magic points and magic shops are non-existant. Everyday people cannot use magic. However, trainees from Garden are taught how to use magic. Squall is also trying to get into an elite force known as SeeD. SeeD is like Soldier from Final Fantasy VII. Only the very best from Garden are capable of joining SeeD. In Final fantasy 8, you have to fight evil, but the main theme of the game is love.....You are in futuristic world in peace , but they are also "behind the scene" stuff, that's See d job, protect the world from any menace. Squall and his friend will have to make peace for the world again........
About the game
Final Fantasy 8 as been released in Japan at February, the 11th, and its shedule to be out in America around September the 2nd, 1999. FF8 as 4 CD and he have one of the best CG animation I've ever seen. Unlike the other FF game, Final fantasy 8 take place in a futuristic world, where the technologie rules the land. There is no materia system on FF8, its now the "draw" system that take places. The "draw" system consist to steal and take magic from your ennemies, and then cast it on them. You don't have any MP, you have now a number of shots were you can cast those magics. Expect to have a hard time to finish this game, and that's the best part of it.
