FAMILY HISTORY GRANDMOTHER REILLY REILLY, ANNIE born 1907 Killashandra, County Cavan,Ireland. Died 1983 Milford, Connecticut, and is buried in ST. Marys Cem. on Buckingham Ave. ANNIE came to the USA in 1930 to Milford, CT. Upon arriving in Milford She married John Gagain/Geoghegan 1930 at ST. ANN`s Church on Naugatuck Ave. Milford, CT. Her parents were Thomas Reilly and Annie Galligan of Killashandra, Co. Cavan. IRELAND GREAT GRANDPARENTS FARRELL / YOUNGS FARRELL , FRANK born 1864 Moate , West Meath , IRELAND. Came to the US with his parents (John FARRELL & Catherine MAHER) and brothers and sisters in 1885 to New York . Married mid 1890`s to Ellen YOUNGS born 1865 Moate, County West Meath, IRELAND. Ellen YOUNGS came to the US with her parents (James YOUNGS & Margaret KELLY) and brothers and sisters in 1880 to New York .(The Youngs family were living in Bridgeport before 1883) . Frank Farrell died 1910 Bridgeport, CT., and is layed to rest in ST. MICHAEL`s Cem. in Stratford , CT. Ellen Youngs Farrell died 1936 in Milford , CT., and is also layed to rest in ST. Michael`s Cem. with her husband. GAGAIN / GEOGHEGAN & DOONAN GAGAIN / GEOGHEGAN , John born 1864 IRELAND (Perhaps GALLWAY) came to the US in 1865 with parents ( may be John Geoghegan & Mary Connell ) They lived in the area of Flatbush , Brooklyn, N.Y. John met Mary DOONAN in New York and I believe married there. Mary Doonan was born about 1877 in Ireand. Her birth place and her parents names are unknown at this time . They were living in Waterbury , CT., by 1898 when their daughter Susan M. Gagain was born in Dec. of 1898. They had a son John Gagain born Nov.1900 in Waterbury also. ( my Grandfather) 2nd GREAT GRANDPARENTS VRTACEK / ROKOS VRTACEK, Joseph born ca 1843 and wife Anna ROKOS born ca 1844 Bohemia, AUSTRIAN EMPIRE. I beleive they are both from PRAGUE. Also believed to have been married in Bohemia before they came to NEW YORK in 1870. (month/ship/and port they sailed from unknown) They lived in NEW YORK and had a number of children (15) while there. In which part of the city is also unknown at this time. Joseph and Anna VRTACEK moved to Killingworth CT where they had purchased 7 tracks of land. They did some farming into the early 1900s. The 1900s census records have listed a son Charlie Vrtacek born 1886 NY.CITY and a daughter Emma Vrtacek (my great grandmother) born Oct. 1877 NY CITY living with their parents (JOSEPH VRTACEK & ANNA ROKOS) in Killingworth, CT. ANNA (ROKOS) VRTACEK died 1913 Killingworth, CT. and buried in Chester CT. Her body was removed 1914 and re-buried in "THE EVERGREEN CEM." Brooklyn NEW YORK. Joseph Vrtacek moved to Chester CT some time after the death of his wife and lived with a daughter Rose (VRTACEK) Vyborny and son in-law Frank Vyborny. JOSEPH VRTACEK died 1924 Chester CT. he was also taken to "THE EVERGREEN CEM." To be layed to rest. (Tulip Grove Lot # 165) Parents of JOSEPH VRTACEK "unknown" Parents of ANNA (ROKOS) VRTACEK : Joseph Rokos & Elizabeth Wackova. FARRELL / MAHER To be filled in later YOUNGS / KELLY YOUNGS James born about 1829 area of BALLINTUBER , MOATE ,COUNTY WEST MEATH , IRELAND. Married in IRELAND ,date unknown.to Margaret KELLY also of MOATE , West Meath, IRELAND. Parents of these two are unknown at this time. James YOUNGS died in 1883 Bridgeport , CT. of stomach cancer. They came to the US ( NEW YORK) in 1880 but did not stay there for long. All their children were born in Ireland . I will list them all later !
