Cordova, a classical Alaskan coastal fishing port with a mountainous backdrop, is situated at the southeasternmost part of the huge Prince William Sound. With access limited to air and sea, the town has an unhurried charm and is the gateway to the spectacular calving of the Child's Glacier located forty miles to the east along the Copper River. The Copper River area is home to the world's finest salmon.
