SWIMMING RACE
I am up, for the swimming race
I walk excitedly, but slow my pace
I reach the edge of the pool and hear
My best friends start to scream and cheer
I start to tremble, as the announcer bellows
My name and opponents, but then the crowd mellows
I get ready, hear the beep, then dive
As the cold water hits me, I feel more alive.
My stroke is freestyle, so I kick my feet
I move my arms, until I get the beat
The more I speed I cut right through
I went so fast, I just flew.
I was coming close to the wall
Then flash! I fliped-turned and beat them all
I tore back, but to my despair
Someone else was almost there.
I got mad, then faster speed
I tore past him and was in the lead
The marker got more close and near
I hit it and knew the finish was here.
I took a deep breath, then looked at my score
I was in first, so I didn't say more
After I got out with a 'whew' and 'hooray'!
I was the winner of the race that day!
The crowd roared with cheers and applause
But as I walked up, they started to pause
I was awarded the medal of gold.
That day I shall treasure until I grow old.

They run and jump and fly so high
I'm almost sure they touch the sky
They bend and flex to touch
there toes.
There not afraid to yell for guys
who run very fast.
There here to say and saying is
one of the things they can
do best.
Soccer
Run jump kick that ball
make a goal.
Don't fall and roll
don't pretend your
bob dole
say to yourself
I can I can
