Playing paintball once in your backyard will leave it ugly and "colorful", while Nerf darts just require the effort to find and store away after use. Nerf darts are superior in almost every way to other forms of safe combat.
Nerf is more fun than others because you do not waste you time worrying how much it is going to hurt when you get shot. Nerf darts are safe and fun to play with. You can then play a good game thinking how you are going to win, not caring if you get shot.
