Thirty years ago in Waverly, a 'burb' of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, Myles Goodwyn played in a little band called Woody's Termite. His neighbour, Jimmy Henmen suggested that he join a group with him and his cousins Ritchie and David. Jimmy and Myles had already been in several band together including East Gate Sanctuary. David and Ritchie played in the group Prism. Goodwyn agreed and they first rehearsed as April Wine in the basement of David's parents house on December 1st, 1969. Fast forward to present day. Many band member replacements later, Myles Goodwyn (vocals, guitars, keys), Brian Greenway (guitars), Jim Clench (bass) and Jerry Mercer (drums) are still April Wine and still very hard at work. They have released a total of 17 albums, April Wine ('71), On Record ('72), Electric Jewels ('74), Live ('74), Stand Back ('75), The Whole World's Goin' Crazy ('76), Forever For Now ('77), Live At The El Mocambo ('77), First Glance ('78), Harder...Faster ('79), Nature Of The Beast ('81), Power Play ('82), Animal Grace ('84), One For The Road ('85), Walking Through Fire ('86), Attitude ('93) and Frigate ('94).
