The Miss Ellis County Scholarship Pageant, an official preliminary to the Miss Texas and Miss America Pageants, is held each year for young women ages 17-24 years. Miss Ellis County 1999 is TORI WHITE, a 21 year old Junior attending The University of Texas in Austin where she is majoring in Finance and Corporate Law. Tori is a very talented vocalist as well as a strong advocate for the mentoring of our youth. She works with numerous charity organizations to include Boy's & Girl's Clubs of America, M.A.D.D., and Helping Hands, just to name a few. Our Teen catagory is for young women ages 13-16 years of age and our 1999 Miss Teen Ellis County is KRISTIN PARSONS, a 14 year old Twirler for the Woodlands High School. Kristin originated the Students Against Destructive Decisions program in her school recently and works with her peers on making right choices.
