You see this, what is it? What does it represent? Does it represent the United States of America? Of coarse it does! This flag represents honor, dignity, and class! Welcome to Marine Boot Camp, Marines style! Oh yeah!!
This is me,  , no I really don't look like that! Who said that, was it you! Drop and give me 20! I am your instructor for this website. When I address you I will say, "recruit". You will call me, "sir"! Not Mam! When I give you an order you say, "YES SIR"! When I tell you to do something you do it! When I tell you to push 'em, you drop and do push ups! If I tell you to get out of here, you get out of here! No I'm just kidding, look around all you want! This site is designed for wanna be Marines. This site will give you the idea, of what it's really like in the Marines. I am not a Marine, but am striving to become one! My name is Matt, and I'm going into MCJROTC next year. For those of you who have no clue as to what MCJROTC it is, Marine Corps Reserved Officers Training Corps! I am very excited! Well then on to other matters. Let's get started! If you are a wanna be Marine it might be best if you went to the main Marine Corps site first, just to have some background information on what I'm talking about.  WAKE UP!!!
Rise and Shine all you pretty boys and girls and welcome to my domain! You are mine for the next couple of weeks! Welcome to Parris Island! While you are here you will give 110% of yourself! You will shed blood and tears, I don't care! I will be training you! Training you to become United States Marines! Now I know you want that title, so lets work hard! Lets give it all you have got! Let's get out there and Train! 
The first obstacle you will face is getting your hair cut! Yes hair cut,  Oh come on don't be a loser! It's such a small price to pay! There are mainly two reasons why we do this! If you visit the Main Marines site the first page should talk about this more in depth, but I'll tell them to you anyway! Number 1, to rid you free of all moral pride. Number 2, When your hair starts getting longer, the other recruits will know that you are almost ready to graduate. There is also a 3rd reason that just came to mind, and that is for sanitary reasons! For women they mostly get there hair cut down to their shoulders!
Now moving on to the, "formation" part of Boot Camp! The first week of Boot Camp is called, "formation" This is mainly the part were the DI's, Drill Instructors really hound you! If you make your bed real neat, and say "Yes Sir" you should be fine! A Drill Instructor is like TNT, if your a Chicken, and you show it, the DI's will realize it and blow up in your face! One small tip, don't be a chicken!  , if you are you won't make it to the other side of the road!
In this section I will talk about the DI's. You will hear me use the term DI frequently throughout this page. DI, stands for Drill Instructor. Never address your Drill Instructor as a, DI He/She will in your face! That will not be a pretty site! Also never call you Drill Instructor a Drill Sergeant, just remember the chicken, Anyway the Drill Instructor is there to help you, not to make your life miserable. Look at this DI for example, if you are polite and respectful to him, you won't get chewed out as much! Notice the key word there was "to much." a Drill Instructor cares about your safety, so don't screw up during PT, physical training! A Drill Instructor will have you do all sorts of PT, like running , or push ups. Another helpful tip, before you go into Boot Camp, prepare yourself way in advance like doing push up, sit ups, 5 miles a day! Believe me pain is good, if you are hurting that means your body is pushing itself beyond the limits!
Throughout your days at Boot Camp you will be on missions. Missions to get you ready for your fame and glory in war!  .
