Let me introduce myself. My name is Peggy Nygard. I raise and show the beautiful Yorkshire Terrier. My husband Darrell and I love this breed. We started our adventure with Yorkies in 1989, by purchasing what we thought was a quality puppy from a local breeder. As this baby grew, we realized that it wasn't looking like what a Yorkie is supposed to look like. In researching the breed (which we should have done first) we bought the book "The Complete Yorkshire Terrier" by Gordon - Bennett. We discovered that the puppy we bought was probably not even a pure bred Yorkie. But we also read the chapter titled :Showing Your Yorkshire. It didn't sound so hard to do. So off we went in search of a reputable breeder that would trust us enough to let us have one of her precious charges. Now it's not that easy to convince a show breeder of Yorkies that you have what it takes to stick with it in the show ring. And more important, that you have the correct breeding ethics. Of course living in the state of Montana, didn't help either. One has to drive forever to get to a dog show. We finally found a breeder in Virginia, June Fischer that would help us get started. The rest is history. We have bred 27 Yorkies that have finished their championships.

We are always striving to improve what we already have. From time to time we will produce a baby that isn't going to make the show ring. At that time we will look for the perfect pet home. Yorkies going into a pet home are spayed/neutered before leaving us. They are sold with a Contract that includes a Health Guarantee and a Welcome Home Policy.

Our Yorkies are raised as part of the family. We love these dogs to distraction and expect the same from the people who are lucky enough to be owned by one of our babies.
