To take part in the bible study discussion group, you must go to http://paltalk.com and download the Free PalTalk software. Follow the instructions for installing PalTalk on your particular PC. Although listeners and typers are welcome, you will need a microphone if you wish to speak in the group, and speakers so you may hear the discussion. The PalTalk site will explain everything you need to know about hardware and software needs. Most current PC & Internet users have everything they need with the possible exception of a microphone. After installing PalTalk, logon and in your PalTalk "Pal list" box, click on the "Groups" Icon at the upper right-hand part of the box. Next the "All Categories" box will come up. Scroll down to "Christianity" category. Highlight the "Christianity" category by clicking on it, and then click on the "Join" icon at the bottom of the "All Categories" box. This will bring up the group list for the Christianity category. Scroll down to the "VOP.com Bible Study Review Group" and again highlight it and click the "Join" icon at the bottom. That's all there is to it! Note: This group room is what is called a "temporary group" room (meaning it only shows up on the list if there is someone in it). If you follow these instructions and do not find the "VOP.com Bible Study Review Group", it simply means you are a little early and it isn't active yet, or you were a little late, and the group is closed till the next meeting. In order to test the interest for this project: The first group meeting will be held at 6:00 till 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 Central Standard Time. Depending on user activity, it will be available the following Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday. After a week we will review and adjust the schedule depending on the level of activity and student participation. |
