Heat Wave Results FOR ROB VAN DAM AND JERRY LYNN VS.LANE STORM&JUSTIN CREDIBLE!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for the main event, as Justin Credible and Lance Storm, with Dawn Marie Bytch, take on the unlikely team of Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam, with Bill Alfonso. All four men made separate entrances, with Fonzie grabbing a sign that said "Get Well Sonya" and dedicating the match to her. Joey Styles revealed she was Rob Van Dam's wife, who is recovering from a broken leg.

Lynn and Credible started the match and the two traded chops. They traded reversals on piledriver attempts, with neither man completing the move. Storm tried to come in, but Lynn dropkicked him out, then gave Credible a slingshot, sending him over the top onto Storm. Credible got back in and demanded RVD, but as soon as Lynn made the tag, Credible ran out and tagged Storm, denying us of seeing Van Dam square off with Credible, a matchup that has never happened in ECW. Van Dam and Storm mixed it up, with neither man getting an advantage, until Storm hooked his rolling single leg crab. Van Dam floored Storm with a savate kick after missing an enzugiri attempt. Lynn tagged back in, and immediately had to fight himself out of the opposing team's corner. Lynn got an abdominal stretch, then the two traded hiptoss reversals, until Lynn yanked Storm throat first on the top rope. Lynn rolled up Storm after he accidentally ran into Credible, but Justin broke it up with a cane shot to the face. Justin came in, and placed a chair on Lynn's face, then rammed it with a knee. Justin then pulled him out of the corner with a powerbomb. Storm tagged back in, and Fonzie slid in the ring and threw water on Lynn, reviving him. Lynn and Storm then traded reversals for two counts. Justin tagged in, then threw Lynn to the floor, where Storm worked him over outside. Justin hit the Outsiders edge, and tagged Storm back in. Storm set a chair in the corner, went to put Lynn into it, but Lynn reversed the whip. Storm sprung off the ropes, grabbing the chair, and flew at Lynn,
but had the chair dropkicked into his face. Storm and Credible held the advantage, but Lynn made the tag, and Van Dam came in, flooring Storm with a series of moves, including a double underhook gourdbuster, a top rope kick, and a dropkick with a steel chair. Storm was sent to the floor, and RVD dropped a legdrop on him across the guardrail, with Fonzie holding a chair over him. Meanwhile, Lynn bulldogged Credible from the top rope to the runway. Van Dam moonsaulted Storm from the guardrail, while Credible gave Lynn a reverse DDT on the runway. Van Dam went to pin Storm after a twisting legdrop, but Credible broke it up with a kick and ran from the ring. Storm hit his spinning leg lariat from the top rope, but could only get a two count. Van Dam came back with a spinkick, then hit the somersault senton backsplash with a chair on top of Storm. Justin came in, but after a few chops, Van Dam whipped Credible into a corner and he flipped out of the ring. Storm set up a chair, but Van Dam sent him into it with a drop toehold. Credible was laid out on a table by Fonzie outside the ring, and Sabu emerged from the entranceway. He hit a triple jump dive and put Credible through the table. Meanwhile, Storm had pulled Lynn back in and was covering him for a pin. RVD went for the frog splash, and Storm moved, causing RVD to splash Lynn. Van Dam hit the Van Daminator on Storm, and Lynn gave him the cradle piledriver and covered him for the pin.

Post match, Sabu, Van Dam and Lynn had words, and as Lynn went to leave the ring, Sabu shoved RVD into Lynn. Lynn and Van Dam started exchanging blows, and Sabu soon joined in, hitting both men. A full fledged three way brawl broke out, and officials ran down to separate them as the Pay-per-view came to a close.

After the show ended broadcast, Van Dam and Fonzie were in the ring when Sabu came back down the ramp. He ripped off the tape on his arm that read "Fonzie" and went at it with Van Dam again. They brawled up the rampway, and were finally separated, and brought to the back. Bill Alfonso walked back to the curtain alone, with Van Dam's World Television Title belt.

ECW Executive Producer Paul Heyman then emerged from the back to acknowledge the crowd, and several of the wrestlers came out for a curtain call to end the evening.

Heat Wave ResulTS FOR THE MATCH OF TAZ VS. TAJIRI

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Taz and Tajiri started in the ring, with Tajiri hitting the handspring slingshot elbow. They went to the floor, and Tajiri hit an Asai moonsault. Back in the ring, Tajiri went for the Tarantula, but Taz blocked it. They went back and forth, until Taz hit a head and arm Tazplex, and stopped to bow to the crowd. Taz went to kick Tajiri, but was floored with an enzigiri. Tajiri went to the top, but Taz met him there and flipped him off with a head and arm super Tazplex. Tajiri hit some of his kicks, then chopped Taz in the corner. He went to the top again, but Taz shoved him off into Rhino on the runway. Taz then ejected Jack Victory from his wheelchair into the ropes, and threw the wheelchair at him. This gave Tajiri a brief opening, but Taz gave him a Liger bomb on the runway. Tajiri and Taz faced off, still on the runway, and Tajiri launched some kicks. Taz caught on, and delivered a head and leg Tazplex on the runway, then chased Steve Corino to the back. While at the entranceway, Taz removed some barbed wire hanging on it and put it in Tajiri's mouth, then slapped on the Tazmission. Blood poured from Tajiri's mouth, as officials ran out to stop the carnage. Judge Jeff Jones ran out, and Taz threw him into the crowd. Taz then left victorious, as the match was stopped.

Heat Wave Results FOR THE MATCH OF SPIKE DUDLEY AND BALLS MAHONEY VS. THE DUDLEY BOYZ!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A video package on the Dudleys-Balls feud was shown, and it was revealed that Little Spike Dudley would be Mahoney's partner.

Joey and Cyrus talked about the upcoming TNN show and it's first taping at the Seagate Center in Toledo, Ohio. Check the Events section for more info.

The Dudley Boyz, with Joel Gertner and Sign Guy Dudley came to the ring to defend the World Tag Team Titles, and verbally attacked the fans in the building. They even got right in the front row and confronted some fans face to face. Joel Gertner introduced the champions, and the challengers made their way to the ring. Balls took the mic and said that tonight the feud would end, and they would have a Dayton Street Fight, where falls would count anywhere in the building. The brawl was on, and Balls went for an early chairshot on Bubba, only to have it turned on him, as Bubba bent the chair over his head. Bubba went after Spike on the runway, but ended up getting bulldogged on it. Spike took a long running charge down the ramp at Bubba, but was backdropped into the ring. D-Von took the ring bell and dove off the second rope onto Spike, busting him open. He followed with a dropkick, while Balls and Bubba hit each other with beverages on the floor. Bubba used a Dudley Ave. street sign as a weapon, then sliced Balls' head with a cheese grater. D-Von continued battling Spike on the floor and was soon bleeding as well. Balls got control of the grater and used it on Bubba. D-Von and Spike brawled their way around the Hara Arena, and soon Bubba and Balls were in the crowd as well. They fought all the way to the entrance, and Spike climbed into the overhang. He pounded his chest, and dove off onto the Dudleys. Balls dragged D-Von back to the ring, and floored him with a savate kick. Bubba and Balls came back in and all four men battled in the corners, with the Dudleys hitting simultaneous powerbombs. The Dudleys were in control until they went for a double clothesline, and had it turned into a pair of neckbreakers. Balls hit a spinebuster on Bubba, and Spike hit D-Von with an Acid Drop, but both men kicked out at two. Balls then gave D-Von the nutcraker suite, and Spike gave Bubba the Acid Drop, but referee John Finnegan was pulled out of the ring by Sign Guy Dudley. The Dudleys then had time to recover, but had a 3D attempt stopped by Balls, who small packaged D-Von, and Spike rolled up Bubba for a double pin to win the titles.

The Dudleys then laid out Spike and Balls with 3D, and brought in two tables. They took out the lighter fluid, and set them ablaze, Balls was slammed into the table by Bubba neck first on the edge of the table, while D-Von powerbombed Spike through the other one. "Natural Born Killaz" blared, and New Jack returned to ECW, along with a shopping cart full of weapons. He decimated the Dudleys and stood triumphant. He then helped up the new ECW World Tag Team Champions, Balls Mahoney and Little Spike Dudley.
