Purpose Hi. My name is K. I'm just your average guy. I work, pay bills, and deal with the same everyday things everyone else does. One thing I really enjoy is movies. I have created this site so I can post reviews of the movies I have most recently seen. I go to the movies quite often so expect to see a new review almost every week. I will give you the real insite to the latest movies that maybe you aren't quite sure you want to spend money to go see or not, I hope to help you make that decision. I would apreciate any type of feedback, tell me if you agree with my evaluation or not.
Scale * - Horrible. Should not be viewed by anyone who doesn't want their IQ to diminish to below 40 by the time they leave the theatre. * 1/2 - Sucks. You should not go see this movie. Probably better then a root canal, but not by a whole lot. Might be cool if you want to go completely stoned. ** - Needs improvement. The movie could have been better and did not live up to what was expected. Suggestion, wait until it hits the video stores. ** 1/2 - Alright. Movie was ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't really good either. Suggestion, if you're bored, go watch it. *** - Good. Movie was made well and is just as good or better then you thought. Suggestion, go see it. *** 1/2 - Damn good. Movie was very good. Almost an instant classic. Suggestion, you have to see it. **** - Classic. Movie was amazing and is worth seeing at least once in the theatre. Suggestion, if you don't go see it you will regret it.
		Stranger than Fiction                                                               summary Stranger than Fiction is about IRS Agent Harold Crick (played by the always funny Will Ferrel). Harold Crick lives a boring lonely life and is stuck to the same old routine. That is until he hears a voice in his head. The voice is narrating Harold's life and everyday activites. He finds out with the help of Prof. Hilbert ( Dustin Hoffman ) that the voice is an author who is writing a story about Harold. Harold must find the author ( Emma Thompson ) before she kills off his character. Stranger than Fiction is a very well done movie. The movie is a mixture of subtle humor and seriousness that works together. Will Ferrel is brilliant as Harold Crick, showing that he can go away from his mainstay as a crazy, randomesct comedic actor. The supporting cast is equally as impressive as Ferrel. Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, and Queen Latifah are all at their best and give the movie is sense of seriousness that makes it a great movie. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Ferrels love interest in the film. She gives a very good performance and, although, some of the the lovie dovie scenes slow the already jogging tempo, it adds to the texture of the film. For those of you who are hard core Ferrel fans, don't expect to see the same type of movie or comedy from him in Stranger than Fiction. My Rating- ***, go see Stranger than Fiction.
		The Departed                                                                       Summary The Departed is about the world of undercover police and irish mobsters in Irish ran south Boston. Bill (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) is a Massachusetts state trooper who goes undercover to try and catch the irish mafia crime boss Costello (a brilliant Jack Nicholson). Colin (Matt Damon) is a south Boston hood who was raised and trained by Costello as a little boy. Costello sends to the police academy so he can penetrate the world of the police for him. Both Bill and Colin learn there is a mole on both sides of the law and are trying to find out who it is, while trying to keep their fake identities and stay alive. The Departed is the best movie by Martin Scorsiese since Goodfella's. This film was originally an asian film called Internal Affairs and was adapted to fit a south Boston setting by William Monahan. The movie is fast paced and keeps you in a state of suspense and wonder until it hits the credits. DiCaprio and Damon work well as opposites in this film and have a very intense scene towards the end on the rooftop. Jack Nicholson is 100% believable and perfect for the role as crime boss Costello, who is disconnected from the rest of the world and loving it. Mark Wahlberg and Martin Sheen turn out small yet very important roles as the police in charge of the undercover units. The movie's only flaw (and it is a very small one) is that both Colin and Bill fall in love for the same woman (Vera Farmiga).This film works in every aspect and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoy it because it's not one that is totally predictable. Scorsiese made a direct hit with this one. My rating- ****, amazing, might be the best film I have seen all year, you HAVE to see The Departed.
		Borat! Summary Borat's Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benifit Glourious Nation of Kazakhstan, is about a news reporter from Kazakhstan named Borat (Sacha Cohen), who comes to America with his producer to make a documentary to try and learn what makes America great so he can try and apply them to his country. If there is one word to describe this Sacha Cohen creation it is FUNNY. Borat had me laughing throughout the entire film. I am a Sacha Cohen fan from his showtime series Da Ali G Show, and thats where this character of Borat comes from and I was waiting for this movie to come out for some time now and it did not disapoint me. The way Sacha messes with people and some of the things he says makes it hard to watch at some points but you just have to peak through your fingers. The people he meets on his cross country tripare what makes the movie great. The frat brothers and all the racist red-necks he meets down south make it even better because Sacha is so great of getting the best and worst reations out of people. This movie is a for-sure laugh fest for anyone with a pulse and who likes to see people at their craziest. My rating- ***, if you are looking for a funny movie you can't go wrong with Borat!
