my story called "The Second Chance"

Read this story about a strong boy who gets a second chance at the sport he grew up knowing and loving. This boy takes a kick to the head and suffers a concussion. He will risk it all to be at the rank he was at before the injury. It was the champion chip and the stakes were high as the Rizzotown Rattlers and their star player Joey Johnson took on the Mapleville Minions. Joey had just tied the game up with his second goal. The Minions had a corner kick. The ball was popped in to the air. Joey almost got his head on the ball, but instead, he got kicked in the head. He’s injured. A sudden silence went through the crowd. The trainer runs on to the field and tries to talk with Joey. "It’s a concussion" the trainer said with a very unhappy face. "It will take six weeks to heal," He also told the coaches. The coaches had an even bigger frown. After Joey got out of the hospital, he had those six weeks to do whatever he wanted. "What did he do?" you ask. Well his mom needed to help him however she could. The first thing he told her was that he wanted to play soccer,"It’s to dangerous," his mom told him. "I want to get back to being number one," he answered back. So he started training. He had six weeks to keep in shape and practice and his first game back was on schedule was against who else but the Mapleville Minions. Training had begun the first day when he set his alarm to 5:00 a.m. to go for a six-mile jog to the next town over and back. After that, he ate one egg, two bananas, and an orange. Next, he’d go up to the local rec. center and kick the ball against the wall for four hours. Then, he ate a small, but healthy, lunch. After that, he lifted weights ‘til 5:00 p.m. Finally; he ate dinner, went for a bike ride, and went to bed. He repeated that method for those six weeks. Finally, it’s game time; Joey had just tied the game up for his second goal. It seemed like he was back. It’s a corner kick for his team. It’s sounds formiliar, like last year’s champion chip. Here we go, the ball was popped in the eighteen-yard box. Joey puts his head on the ball. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! The rattlers won that tournament and the champion chip. Joey has proved he is back at the high level he was at before the concussion. THE END
