Travel Brought Forth and Memories Updated

DID YOU KNOW.... Fun question for his nephews, younger kids who may not remember and grandchildren... How long did we live in Spain? Do you know? Can you guess? Come on... try and guess.... give up... it was the same amount of time that it took for you to be in the "oven" and brought out into this world....... yep you guessed it..... nine months. What city did our FIRST FOUR FAMILY members live in that year? I'll give you a hint... It's the famous place where the fiesta of San Fermin takes place, when the men go running down the streets with those big huge scary BULLS !! For those of you who went of Spanish speaking missions, when you hear that famous July 7th fesitval song you'll know all the ins and outs of that wonderfully exciting time of year. How many flights of stairs up, was the place where we lived? I have a tape recording, where Dad takes us all off to school. We all get into the elevator and you can hear him talking to us about what will be going on that day. Then you can hear the elevator door open. You can hear Gina from just outside the elevator calling out, "Hola Lucita!" and Dad says, "Gina salio a la escalera!" She was always the active one. She had just ran down FOUR FLIGHTS of stairs!! What was the name of the school we went to? I have a picture where I'm standing outside on the playground with all my girlfriends. We're dressed in our "Ropa de Educacion Fisica" or as we called it THERE... our "UNIFORME DE GIMNACIA" On our cute little yellow shirts our the words, "Colegio San Juan" Who can remember the name of their teacher? Well I guess THAT would be only an answer the three oldest would know. I can remember standing by Don Felix's big huge desk. During "Dibujo" time, he would show me how to copy the picuture of an illistration from my text book. I remember Gina talking to me. "Lucita that's not what Senorita Fannie told us to do" We would laugh everytime we said her name. "Do you think her name is really," and we'd say it just the way it sounded, "Senorita Funny?" =D hahaha.
BRAIN POWER BROUGHT FORTH: Test some Tricky Trivia

Spain is a pretty awesome country. How many places do you know where the whole town goes home for lunch? After the recess bell rang and we finished playing "A LA GOMA" with our friends, we all came back in, and got our things ready to go. I thought, HUH? We're going home already? "Que estamos haciendo Susana?" I asked one of my friends. "No quires ir a casa para comer?" she asked me. Wow how cool. That's when I learned one of the coolest things about Spain. I guess Don Felix must have called my dad to tell him to come pick me up, because we all went home to eat lunch. After that, every day when we came home for lunch, Dad would help me and Gina do our studies from LaVeta Elementary. This became a very special time for Gina and I. Mom began being Gina's tutor, and Dad was mine. My favorite part of this part of the day, was when we worked on our SPAIN SCRAP BOOKS. I love that book. To this day, I still have it. It takes me back to a time in my life when Karl and Virginia (Dad and Mom) became my MOST favorite people in the world. I loved hearing them sing in such sweet harmony. And the break we took from CREATING those books, was the most delicious part !! On the first floor of the apartment complex (I think) was a way cool market. That was where Gina and I chose our special treat we ate during that little break. When Valentines Day came, I asked dad if we were going to pass out. And when I found him having fun with me pasting, cutting. and weaving little heart baskets together, that's when I KNEW... I had the coolest dad in the world. "Hey, these are neat-o Daddy" I said as we kept making more and more. "Are we bring these with us tomorrow?" As I watched him in his thought process, I could tell that he wanted to do one other thing with these cute baskets. He looked at the inside of the heart and noticed a little hole. That's when I saw him take a lollypop he happened to have and slide the stick into the little basket. The next day, we brought at least 35 Vallentines to my class in a box that one of my dolls had come in. And when my teacher announced, "Tenemos una cosa especial que Lucita nos trajo," I felt like Queen Elizabeth. My heart like popping as I passed out the most special Valentines, I ever shared.

The following words are a translation to a song that Grampa sang with Aunt Lucita and Aunt Gina when they were little: A little bunny rabbit is sleeping now. A hunter, he gets closer to shoot him, POW! Bunny you be careful please. Run away, hide on your knees. Fast before his gun it shoots and goes pow pow!! UN CONEJITO BLANCO DORMIDO ESTA. UN CASADOR SE ASERCA Y LO VERA. CONEJITO, CUIDATE. ANDALE, DESPIERTATE! DE LA BALAS SUYAS PRONTO...PUM!PUM! PUM! This one makes me think of another one in English I've heard. LITTLE BUNNY FOOFOO I DON'T WANNA SEE YOU CHASIN ALL THE FIELD MICE AND BOPPIN EM ON THE HEAD... Then along came the good fairy. "I'll give you just one more chance" Anybody heard this song before? hahaha... can't remember the words. But I KNOW you've heard this song... In a forrest in the woods, a little old man, by the window stood. Saw a rabbit hopping by, knocking at his door. "HELP ME, Help me, HELP M-M-Me!" He said. "Or the hunter wiil shoot me dead." Come little rabbit come with me. Happy we will be. I love that one. And then when that got old and we outgrew it, the people at the Pioneer handcart trek taught us a more updated version. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM ! In a PAD, in a forrest tree, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM !! Crazy Herman was surveyin' the sea. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM ! Saw a HAIR man, trekin' by, rappin' at his door. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM !! "Like help, like help" came his plee. "Before the farmer extreminates me!" BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! Come on HAIR man, don't you fret and shout! Come in and we'll hang out.
FUNNY BUNNY SONGS

When Adam was in Nursery, I remember him singing the cutest little song. It goes like this: Five little speckle frogs, sat on a speckled log...eating the most delicious bugs. Yum, yum! One jumped into the pool, where it was nice and cool. Now there are 4 green speckled Frogs. Glub Glub. Four little speckled frogs, sat on a speckled log...eating the most delicous bugs, YUM YUM ! One jumped into the pool where it was nice and cool. There are 3 green speckled frogs. Glug Glub! Three little speckled frogs, sat on a speckled log, eating the most delisious bugs. YUM YUM!! One jumped into the pool...where it was nice and cool. Now there are two green speckled frogs. Glub Glub. 2 little speckled frogs, sat on a speckled log... eating the most delicious bugs. YUM YUM! One jumped into the pool, where it was nice and cool. Now there is one green speckled frog. Glub Glub. 1 little speckled frog, sat on a speckled log... eating the most delicious bugs. YUM YUM!!! He jumped into the pool, where it was nice and cool. Now there are... ... NO GREEN SPECKLED FROGS. BOO WHO... And what about... Glack Gloong went the little green frog one day. Glack Gloong went the little green frog... Glack Gloong went the little green frog one day, and he went Glack Gloong, GLACK GLOONG!! Or...There's a little green frog sittin' in the water, a little green frog - doin' what he oughter. He took a bite of the lillie pad, scratched his head and he said, "I'm glad I'm a little green frog, sittin' in the water. Croak, Croak, Croak. Oh YES. And How could we forget Grampa's favorite... Oh the bulldog on the bank, and the bull frog in the pool. Oh the bulldog on the bank... And the bull frog in the pool. Oh the bulldog on the bank and the bullfrog in the pool. The bulldog called the bullfrog... A GREEN OL' WATER POOL !! Singin' tra-la-la-la-la-la-dee-a-ay! Singin' tra-la-la-la-la-la-dee-ay! Singin' tralalaladee-ay, Singin' tralalaladee ay! Tra-la-lala... Tra-la-lala...Tra-la-la-dee-ay. Does any one remember when we would all hear, "OK Gang! Jump in the car!! You guys grab the buckets, and I'll get my boots." And then he would take us out "FROGGING" ??!! Many's the time we'd come home with the biggest frogs we ever saw! We had MORE fun!
