I am Dr.Jagadeesh(presently working in the Dept.of Chemistry,Govt.Engineering College,Trichur,Kerala,India and an alumnus of School of Environmental Sciences,Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) who is very much worried about the present plight of Mother Earth.Lamenting ecologists have described the situation as Mother Earth having acidity (due to acid rains), fever (due to global warming ) and skin cancer (due to the rupture in the ozone layer ). As a chemist who has a great concern for the pollution related problems, I have been concentrating on pollution problems due to heavy metals in aquatic environment, air pollution problems due to automoble exhausts and incinerator emissions. Presently my subjects of interest are Catalytic converters, Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons ,Dioxins,Speciation of heavymetals and Chemical Modelling of Aquatic systems.
