Some manual processes were automated and a variety of reporting improvements and cost savings steps were implemented. Environment: MVS, COBOL II, DB2 v5, CICS v4, JCL, XPEDITOR, FILE-AID Project # 2 Nov 98 –Feb 99 Programmer/Analyst, Object Resources, Inc Client: DST Systems, Kansas City, USA HOUSEHOLDING (FAIRWAY OUTPUT DOMAIN) The objective of house holding project is to combine multiple output products for multiple investment accounts into one package for mailing. House holding is not - grouping, and single mailings. Investment accounts are householded into one account when at least two of the selection criteria are matched on the different investment accounts. Householding main functionality is to create and maintain the house holds and produce requests like potential reports, solicitations, mass householding stratification report .It also serve proxy group which is other domain in output product. Role: Involved in writing specifications and unit test scripts for online mass processing request programs and reports. Involved in Coding, Unit Tests and Quality Checks, and involved in support For QA groups. Environment: MVS COBOL II, DB2 v5, JCL, XPEDITOR, FILE-AID Project # 3 March 98 – Nov 98 Client: DST Systems, Kansas City, USA TRAC - 2000 Tuning Project The goal of TRAC - 2000Tuning project is to enable TRAC -2000 efficiently stored and process large volumes of data. TRAC - 2000Tuning project consists of several different areas; I am involved in Phase I. Phase I includes DB2 technical tuning, optimizing resources and scheduling efficiencies and improving performance of dividend, posting and statement processes. Role: Involved in Analysis and Study of Existing Procedures and Identify the Critical Path in the Nightly Batch Process. Involved in writing specifications and unit test scripts for query optimization for 24 programs. Involved in Coding, Unit Tests and Quality Checks. Completed the Project successfully before the target date. Environment: COBOL, DB2, SQL Easy, Plan Analyzer, JCL, XPEDITOR, FILE-AID ,DATACOM Project #4 Nov 97 - Mar 98 Programmer, IBM Global Services India Client: Weyerhaeuser Financial Systems, WA, USA Labor Distribution system. L.D is a system used forreporting labor information generated from the Weyerhaeuser Payrollsystems. This application works operates in package called Millennium (a GEAC' s package). Our project objective is to upgrade the system to new version of millennium, to change the COBOL programsfrom COBOL 85 to MVS COBOL. Role: Analyzing, preparing approach plan, Implementation Environment: MVS/ESA, Millennium ,CICS, MVS, COBOL II, VSAM, Changeman Package. Project #5 Jan 97- Oct 97 Programmer, IBM Global Services India Client: Weyerhaeuser Financial Systems, WA, USA General Ledger General Ledger is Dun & Bradstreet product . This is another application, which works under Millennium . This had to be upgraded for the new release GL:M3.12.00 and to some more programs to be added . Role: Analyzing , preparing approach plan, Implementation Environment: MVS/ESA, Millennium ,CICS, MVS COBOL,VSAM, Changeman Package. Project #6 May 96- Dec 96 Programmer, IBM Global Services India Client: Indian Airlines, New Delhi, India Management Information System : This module comprises of Input-mask, batch reports, and online reports. Batch program consists of daily, weekly, monthly, annual runs. In online data is down loaded from sequential files generated by input-mask into database tables and using Cobol, CICS programs, maps for menus and user input data entries are developed. This facilitates end users to navigate through application various reports like delay flight information, revenue information, flight performance, frequency of flight...etc. are generated interactively in QMF. Role: He was involved in online part and in monthly runs of batch part. Environment : MVS/ESA, DB2, CICS,MVS COBOL, ISPF, VSAM, QMF, SPUFI Project #7 Jan 96 – April 96 Programmer, IBM Global Services India Client: Indian Airlines, New Delhi, India Revenue Accounting. This is one of the critical business applications that are to be migrated from Unisys system to IBM mainframe ES-9000. This is thoroughly a batch application which involved in understanding of the existing system, their job submission language (EXEC-8), programs which are written in FORTRAN(ASCII) and COBOL have to be changed to the current versions and JCL's to be written to compile and execute this programs. Role: Study and Converting EXEC-8 to JCL , Coding and testing Environment : MVS/ESA, DB2 v4, MVS COBOL, ISPF, QMF, SPUFI Project #8 Sept 95 – Dec 95 Programmer, IBM Global Services India Client: Indian Airlines, New Delhi, India Personal Information System This is partially new application as it involved the redesigning of the existing database. The application manages the personal information pertaining to IAL employees. COBOL, DB2, CICS programs are written to manipulate the data and to develop maps designed make the data handling easy to the endures. Role: Involved integration of maps, program to handle them and programs to interface between CICS and QMF and query, reports development in QMF.
