Liability Reporting.
Redemption Analysis
RetroActive Maintenance.
Systematic Redemption Annual CDSC Waiver.

The Liability Reporting and Redemption Analysis sub-modules came under the Multiple Financier Module.
The goal of the Multiple Financiers is to Link a financier to a lot that will provide the means to generate new reports at the financier level, allowing fund sponsors and financiers a more effective tool to track account activity at the appropriate level. The goal of Retroactive maintenance for the effective dates on financing source Agreements is to provide two conversion methods: - conversion of lots impacted by the effective date changes and lots which defaulted to the Fund Sponsor. Converted lots will be reassigned to the agreement that would have been in effect on the original purchase trade date after the maintenance has been applied to the agreements. Both conversion methods are optional and can be selected individually. The goal of the Systematic Redemption Annual CDSC Waiver is to capture an accounts value (Market & Chargeable), and calculate an annual waiver amount that can be redeemed, free of CDSC. If the systematic redemption amount exceeds the annual waiver amount, that amount is subject to CDSC.
Role:
Involved in the analysis and preparation of the design documents.
Involved in preparing the detailed specifications of the programs.
Involved in writing the unit test scripts for the programs.
Involved in coding and testing the programs.
Environment: COBOL, COBOL II, DB2, JCL, SQL and FILE AID, X PEDITOR, COMPAREX, MVS, and IBM ES9000

Programmer/Analyst, Object Resources Inc.
Client: DST Systems Inc, Kansas City, MO.

Long term Capital Gain Change Project
The project involved enhancing the Distribution (“DISTRIB”) facility of DST’s proprietary TA-2000 software application for mutual fund shareholder processing. This project is the consequence of implementing new regulatory changes and facilitating the calculation of new events. The regulatory scheme was to distinguish the existing LONG-TERM CAPITAL GAIN scheme into TWO schemes of 28%(mid term) and 20%(long-term) rates based on the holding period of the securities. The project also included in its scope, the facility to calculate the new SPECIAL DIVIDEND TAXABLE and NON-TAXABLE events.
Role: Responsibilities included system study, impact analysis and identifying the scope of the project. Based on end-user requirements, created detailed program specifications and performed coding, unit testing, peer review and quality control. Involved in system testing, performing parallel runs, implementation of changes and providing support across various testing platforms before beginning production. Also worked extensively on report changes, involving changes in report layout and corresponding changes in the program logic.
Environment: IBM ES 9000, MVS, DB2, CICS, JCL, COBOL, File-Aid, and Expeditor.

Jan 98 - April 98
Software Engineer, Satyam computer Services Pvt., LTD
Client: San Diego Data Processing Corporation

Y2K Conversion
The main aim of this project is date conversion to avoid the problem of date comparison in the next century. We have used the fixed and sliding window techniques in this project. The database used is the IMS database. For testing the team edited the database using FILE-AID and inserted appropriate data in the date fields. We also set the current date in the next century using “hour-glass” in the JCL and for performing Year 2000 testing.
Role: Responsibilities included performing impact analysis, making modifications to date fields using sliding window technique, unit testing, testing system for current date and year 2000 compliance.
Environment: ES 9000, MVS, COBOL, IMS, CICS, JCL, File-Aid.

Programmer, Gulf Computers Pvt. Ltd.
Client: Thomsons Directories, U.K.

Y2K Conversion
The main aim of this project is date conversion to avoid the problem of date comparison in the next century, the process of conversion includes identification of date fields manually by using revolve tool of micro focus. Using this tool we find the impact of the date fields for the century conversion. We check for the comparison of date fields kept in the copybooks and century field is added wherever the conversion is necessary. The fixed window technique is used for this project in which whenever an application encounters a date comparison it is trapped by "program hooks" which adds the century part to the date field. The program is then checked and tested using test data. Involved in Identification of date fields using revolve tool, coding, modifications and testing
Role: Responsibilities included impact analysis using Revolve tool; Used fixed window technique to perform Y2K modifications, Quality control and remodification, Systems analysis to ensure Year 2000 compliancy.
Environment: ES 9000, MVS, Cobol, DB2/Flat Files, CICS.

June 97 – Sept 97
Programmer, Gulf Computers Pvt. Ltd.
Client: J. Salisbury, UK

Y2K Conversion
J. Salisbury is a chain of supermarkets located all over the UK. The main aim of this project is date conversion to avoid the problem of date comparison in the next century. The process involves first impact analysis in which we identify the date fields using MF-Revolve. Then modification of the date fields is done using copybooks in the MF-workbench environment. Testing is done by creating data files in the workbench environment. Involved in identification of date fields using revolve tool, coding, modifications and testing.
Role: Responsibilities included impact analysis, using fixed window technique to perform Year 2000 modifications, Quality control assurance, Systems analysis to ensure Year 2000 compliancy, unit testing.
Environment: ES 9000, MVS, Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, File-Aid, Expeditor.

Mar 97 - May 97
Programmer, Gulf Computers Pvt. Ltd.
Client: ITT Insurance, UK

Y2K Conversion
ITT is a leading insurance company at London. This project is a Y2K conversion project. Process of conversion involves first identifying the date fields to be changed using MF-revolve. This is impact analysis. Then we modify date fields, which are used either for comparison or computational purposes and include copybooks to provide the modified date structure and logic for changing the dates. We then test the data by creating data files and running the program using MF-workbench in this project the "fixed window" technique is used for date comparison and the century part is added by means of "program hooks".
Role: Involved in identification of date fields using Revolve tool, coding, modifications and testing
Environment: ES 9000, MVS, Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, File-Aid, Expeditor.

Y2K Conversion
Dukes Power is a major utility provider in the United States. This project is a Y2K conversion project. Process of conversion involves first identifying the date fields to be changed using changeman which is part of the ISPF (TSO) dialogue manager. This is impact analysis. Then we modify date fields, which are used either for comparison or computational purposes and include copybooks to provide the modified date structure and logic for changing the dates. We then test the data by creating data files and running the program using changeman. In this project the "fixed window" technique is used for date comparison and the century part is added by means of "program hooks." Involved in identification of date fields using the mainframe link (IBM-3278 Terminal), Coding, modification and testing.
Role: Responsibilities included impact analysis, using fixed window technique to perform Year 2000 modifications, Quality control assurance, Systems analysis to ensure Year 2000 compliancy, unit testing.
