Hey juggalos heres sum info on icp
The Early Days
ICP once stood for Inner City Posse, once... Back in the early 90's Joe Bruce (violent j) and Joey Utsler (shaggy 2 dope) were in a gang called the Inner City Posse.
The First Demo
The gang decided to put out a demo-tape called "Dog Beats", this tape became popular in the Detroit area so other gangs wanted to beat ICP's asses, Violent J is quoted as saying "We were a crappy gang, we always got the shxt beat outta us!", the beat-downs caused the gang to break up, leaving J and 2Dope by themselves.
Inner City To Insane
J and 2Dope decided to start their own Record label along with Alex Abbiss their manager and a bunch of their friends, including Billy Bill, Nate The Mack, and Jump Steady. They then started wearing clown-makeup and became the Insane Clown Posse, the psycho, post-pyschiatic, most dangerous rap group ever! ICP was gonna get Big!
Carnivalogy
With the make-up came "Carnivalogy", The name suggested the 6-faces known as joker's cards who would inact as god to this religion. ICP would release each face as a Joker's Card masked as Insane Clown Posse Compact Disc's and Cassettes. Only 5 of the Faces are currently know, in order they are: Carnival Of Carnage Ringmaster The Riddle-Box The Great Milenko The Amazing Jeckel Bros.
The only thing know about the finale of the Joker's Cards is that it will be the end, but of what? No one knows but Violent J and 2 Dope, could be the end of ICP, Could be the end of the world.
ICP becomes Stars in "HollyWood"
In 1996 ICP signed onto "HollyWood" records, a company of Disney, the contract stated that ICP would finish of the Joker's Cards on that Label, 6 months before the Album (the great milenko) was due for release J and 2Dope turned the record into Disney who gave it the OK as long as they took out 3 songs, "Under The Moon","Boogie Woogie Wu", and "The Neden Game". ICP did that stuff and everything was Jolly. Then on June 26th "The Great Milenko" was released, six-hours after shipping Disney ordered a recall! Can you beleive that? Many stores kept the CD anyways, Disney released a statment saying "This material is too ruthless for ANYONE, No Family values, NO talent.". ICP was dropped on the spot, but boy did this raise publicity!
ICP get's lost on an Island
ICP was having deals left and right with company's, from geffen, back to Jive, to Island. Island had the best offer, and ICP wanted to be on Island cause they were Down With The Clown, with MCL. Island lifted the contract from HollyWood. ICP is scheduled to release the last of the Joker's Cards on Island, but who knows, ICP has been on more labels than Van Halen has had Horrible Singers.
