My Purpose The purpose of this website is devoted to helping people who have family members and/or loved ones who are incarcerated in the Laurel County Detention Center who would like to voice their opinions and views. When one person speaks it might not be heard, but when many come together to express a view or opinion it is more likely to be noticed. I want you to be able to voice your opinions freely on this site. I have plans on using your opinions as a path for change. There are things that we need to have done to help those who cannot help themselves. What Needs To Happen People in jail are put there for a reason. They are put there because they have committed a crime that they have to be punished for. Although they have committed a crime does this mean that they do not matter? I would hope not, because they are still a human being with feelings and thoughts. They shouldn't be neglected and made to suffer. That is why I believe there should be changes to how they are treated and placed while they are incarcerated.
