It was developed during the 1940's for the production of the nations first atomic bombs, and as such has been involved in development of much of the very highest technology known today. In recent years, the trend has been toward using that technology to other ends, with the resulting spin-off business offering opportunities not found anywhere else. We have numerous projects in progress throughtout the area that offer unique jobs for people with all types of education and interest. They are involved in many hi-tech projects, some of which will stagger the imagination. If you can think it, Battelle is probably already working on it.
