So wanna know how to hold your hamster, first of all dont run up to yelling and screaming, simply talk softly to it for a couple days. Then about your third day put on gloves!!!!! HAMSTERS BITE! and pick up your hamster by cupping your hands around the body and lifting it up from the ground, do not put your hand above the hamster and come down to grab, thats the way their preditors pick them up! The hamster will run and hamsters are fast but just follow it with your hand and do what i said before. When you have your hammie in your hand talk softly and pet it with your index finger SOFTLY!!! Have a strong grip on your hammie but not strong enough to pop its eyes out because they are very scared of heights and will try to get loose! If you do this about every day for 2 weeks it will get easy to do, the hamster will grow to trust and love you while you grow the same, this is also known as taming! Which is the worst part of having a hamster! But trust me it gets easier, remember to hold your hammie on a regular basis!

What to have for your hamster A cage- not wooden they will chew right through it, aquariums are good so are play ones, translucent colors are great! A wheel- hamsters love wheels to run on! Food-  A pet store mixture is fine, also packaged food you can buy at pet stores, I got 2 pounds of pet store mixture Treats- My hamsters love sunflower seeds! Naw sticks are good too! A ball- Hamsters love to run in little balls, its a good exesize and loads of fun to watch! Bedding- Pine bedding is good to lay in their home, but NO CEDAR! Cedar is fatal to hamsters or can cause ilnesses! Water bottle bowl to put food in! My total came to about 45.00-50.00 including hamster! The food and bedding should keep you stocked up for at least a couple months is my prediction! So about every 2 months you will be paying atleast 10.00-12.00
