Modern day Treasure Hunting with the use of a quality metal detector is not only fun and profitable, but it is also a great way to get the exercise your body needs. Hi, my name is Mike Hardy and this is my site on Treasure Hunting/Metal Detecting. I started hunting in July of 1999,when I purchased a White's Classic IDX. In less than three months, I found coins, both clads and silver, that have a face value of $323.87... I have also found many different types of jewelery, (children's rings, charms, religious medals, etc). I am still learning about this great hobby, through books and research and I will be updating this page frequently. I will be adding a list of favorite hunting sites and ways to do research to find even more sites.
UPDATE: Since I last edited this site, I have found enough coins to pay for the Classic IDX and have just recently purchased a new Whites Spectrum XLT. This is a great machine as it has some built-in programs for start and go hunting as well as some pro options that will take me some time to figure out. In time I plan on doing some relic hunting, and the Spectrum XLT should be ideal for that. |
