POKERUS*
apparently, there is a virus your pokemon can catch in Gold and Silver. It is called POKERUS. It is very rare, and you won't notice it till u go 2 a pokecenter. for more info, go here:

Ok, this is really common AND IT ONLY WORKS FOR RED/BLUE!
If you dont know how to do it though, here it is:
You MUST have a pokemon that knows FLY AND SURF!
1) Talk to the Old man in Viridian city that asks you if you are in a hurry, say NO. he will show you haw to catch a pokemon. after he is done, Immediatly FLY to CINNABAR iSLAND. Surf on the right coast until you encounter missingno. Defeat him(catching him will mess up your game) and one of you items will be increased by alot. it will have a symbol by it.
