Welcome to my web page about about Great Barrier Reef. The great barrier reef is of course in Austraila and is outside the coral sea in the Northeastern part of Austraila. This project when my class at Gemini Elementary School did an internet program called Austraila quest. I would like to give a big shout out to my friends back at Gemini and my communications 3rd period teacher Mrs. Savery.
Paragraph 1(the history of Austraila)
Austraila is the only contry to occupiy an entire continet. The earliest settlers to austraila were the aboriginal people. Most of the aborigines came from aisa via indonesia. Most of the aboriginal peoples live in poverty and are extreamly poor. Word about this new colony got out about 1763. There were many sailors that wanted to claim this new land for their country but only one succed. Captain James Cook of England counquered the land for the queen. England had power of austraila until 1901 when it became an independent contry.
