| This page is dedicated to anything that has to do with the upcoming movie Final Fantasy The Spirits Within. This movie open July 13, 2001. So be prepared because you will be bombarded with advertisements as the date approaches. This is a small capsule about the movie, the more we learn, the more we will add. Graphics: The graphics, I beleive that is the only term to use, are amazing. Think of the CGI cut scenes from Final Fantasy 9, now multiply the quality by two and you have every second of the movie. The graphics are like that THROUGHOUT the entire movie. It took over two years to make, but it was sure worth it. The characters look so real that it is sometimes hard to tell thet they are actually computer generated. Actors: The movie is voice acted, because it is animated, and includes a wonderful line-up of big-time actors. They include: James Woods-General Hein Alec Baldwin-Grey Ving Rhames- Donald Sutherland Ming-Na Wen-Aki Ross Steve Buscemi-Neil The characters mouths are matched up so well that you cannot tell they are being voice overed, which is quite impressive. Plot: As far as I know, the plot is that it is in the not to distant future (2065)and humans are scarce. The world is being taken over by invisible aliens, who have killed most of our race. Humans are forced to live in barrier cities. The alien race is flying and invisible and can only be seen when costed with a special dust. The aliens feed off human souls(sweeeeet). A small band of humans rival them and attempt to gather the 8 spirit waves before the aliens destroy the world. This movie is rated PG-13 for animated violence and language. This isn't some half-assed attepmt at film making. It is dead serious and that's just the way we want it. It opens July 11th everywhere.
