Yes I know what your saying, FINAL FANTASY 9 WOW!!! but wait why is there Final Fantasy 10&11 too. Well some people say that there are 3 teams 1 for each number and they have made the story and some people say that FF9 is going to suck because it is going to be made very fast if there are not 3 teams. Well I think there are 3 teams.

As you all have seen, Final Fantasy 9 will take a much more 'fantasy outlook' with dragons, mages and other things we'd like to associate with older Final Fantasies, such as grand castles, playing a prominent role.

So far the, the main character is known to be called Zotan, who is most likely male. Three other character's names have also been seen; Pipi, Garnet, and Steiner.

Mages have made a welcome comeback to a Final Fantasy game, with an absence since Final Fantasy V, complete with their pointy hats and small stature.

Square officially confirmed that Final Fantasy 9 will be on appearing on the PlayStation 1 platform, with a projected summer release for Japan, I imagine that the western release will follow sometime close to this Christmas so save up your money.

At the Millennium Conference, Final Fantasy 9 FMV clips were shown to reveal a medieval tone and a cartoony feel; the characters appeared to be much smaller in size compared to more recent Final Fantasies, with a maximum of 4 in your party at any one time.

Only two characters could be made out during the brief showcase - one appeared to have a 'cheetah tail', while the other two were a dragon and a Black Mage. Airships seem to play an even important part in Final Fantasy 9's world, with many seen in the background.

The battle system has returned back to the roots of Final Fantasy tradition with battle gauges for HP, MP and Time, and a maximum of 4 characters in your party, I like Final Fantasy 8's battle system because you don't have to buy magic so I mite not like it BUT 4 people that has not been seen since Final Fantasy 6.

If these reports are true, and they most likely are, Final Fantasy 9 could prove to be a welcome breath of fresh air after the technological feel of Final Fantasy 7&8, although extremely successful, many Final Fantasy fans felt that the series was loosing its original appeal and, above all, loosing its tradition.
