| Always provide fresh food and water. Bananas are a favorite treat. Clean a ferret's cage regularly. Don't keep your ferret cooped in a cage all day. Excercize plays an important role in a ferrets health. Ferrets need specially made "ferret food". Grooming is easy, bathe in a bathroom sink. Healthy ferrets are active. Ill ferets may show symptoms of lethargy. Jills are female ferrets. (Hobs are males) Kits are baby ferrets. Linatone is a ferret vitamin supplement. Many ferrets get into mischief. Never leave your ferret unsupervised when out of its cage. Outdoor walks are fun. (be sure your pet is leashed) Prevention is the key when it comes to diseases. Quiet time for sleeping is a must. Realize that being a ferret owner is a responsibility. Silk and other old shirts can be used for bedding. Temperatures should be between 65 and 75 degrees. Undercoats will get thicker in the winter. Vet appointments are nescessary once a year. Water should always be available. X-treme heat could kill your pet in minutes. Your ferret should have a buddy. Zillions of ferrets are out there, get the one for you! |
