| Accessible R.V. Park List |
| By The Handicapped Travel Club |
Reprinted with permission of The Handicapped Travel Club (HTC).
Editors Note: The HTC members have put together a list of parks which they feel are wheelchair convenient or reasonably accessible for most disabled RVers.
If you are a park owner and would like information about HTCs project, you can contact the Handicapped Travel Club directly by visiting their Web site. If you are an RVer with special-needs, and are interested in joining this very active (and fun!) group, an application is available at their web site www.handicappedtravelclub.com or you can use the contact information at the end of this listing.
According to the HTC, this is the criteria that they use when they survey a campground:
Is the office wheelchair accessible?
Is at least one site level and wide enough for a wheelchair lift?
What hook-ups are available and are they wheelchair accessible?
Is the bathroom (toilet and shower) accessible?
Is the camp store accessible?
Are pets allowed?
Below is a partial list and please keep checking back for new additions.
