TREKKING THROUGH A MANGROVE FOREST

Would you like to trek through the world's
largest mangrove forest on the bank of the
Bay of Bengal? Sunderbans, the largest mangrove
forest, is the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger--
the most ferocious and the most magnificent
animal on the earth. It is also the home of the
spotted and barking deer.

The forest is crisscrossed by hundreds of rivers
and canals teeming with crocodiles, dolphins and
various types of fish. its beds are inundated
twice a day. Visitors to this forest have to
spend nights on boat. Trekking through the forest,
both afoot and by small country boat is possible.
But trekking afoot is only for the bravest of the
braves.

Imagine yourself in a breath taking and dreadful
trekking by boat and afoot through so deep a forest
of Sunderbans, under the watchful, glowing eyes of
the Royal Bengal Tiger, while hundreds of quick-footed
deer are dancing off you, often looking back with
their bewitching and inquisitive eyes.
The best time to visit this forest is October to April.
